You should stop trying to think about romantic feelings with someone who is almost 5 years older then you while your still a child.
Age gaps are also more acceptable the older you get. Like a 5 year age gap isn't wrong when its someone 25 and 30, but it is when its 15 and 20. or 21 and 16 like your case.
Fun fact im 21 myself and I can't ever even imagine entertaining something like this.
I don't want to pull the "When you get older" card on you but when you become his age you'll see just how wrong this is. Im not shaming you because you aren't technically the person im concerned about but shame on him for entertaining it(if he is)
And for you personally please try to be more careful on who you choose to date. You can get everything you need from a man that hes giving but with someone thats YOUR age. Trust me the bare minimum is actually there these days you just got to look for it.
