I don’t know how to explain it
You gotta keep trying treatments
Be very open with your doctor about what’s going on
Ask them about treatment options
I get it I’m in the same boat
It’s so tough, because you want it all to go away, you want to restart, you want to go back to better days, I dwell sometimes too don’t worry it’s so normal for people with mental health issues
But you gotta call your provider
Tell them what you have and haven’t tried in terms of meds and treatment options including therapy
Therapy is there to manage symptoms not exactly treat, so start there
Ask your provider to do a referral for a diagnostic by a psychologist
once that’s done, get going on treatment that the psychologist suggests
When you know what you have it opens up your understanding and can help you on the path to better well being
If there’s firearms in the house get rid of them
good, and I’ll be honest with you, when I was at my very worst, I had to get sent to the psych hospital and they referred me to a program, in patient
well multiple times
but I’ll be honest with you, something is going to help
I’ve done it all, ECT, TMS, Ketamine, every medication
I am also at a dead end
but you gotta be super open to your provider
Because inside you there is someone probably screaming to get help
and by someone I mean your subconscious
wdym
show what?
I get it, I’ve repressed a lot of my emotions for a long time
like a chameleon blending in
it’s normal with mental health issues
You don’t wanna seem awkward to the outside world
I highly recommend you turn on music, anything you used to enjoy, or currently enjoy, and take a walk, doesn’t need to be brisk, doesn’t need to be long, doesn’t need to be a special place to walk
Just look around
and just feel the emotions
just feel it, don’t even try to suppress it, keep breathing, slow, or normal, but don’t shorten your breath
if you feel panic then feel it
don’t try to hide it, if you feel anxiety then by all means feel it, but move, walk, look around you, if a bunch of memories pop up then remember them but don’t judge them
I’ve been having to do that lately
Get in contact with your provider and discuss everything, what you’ve tried what you haven’t, and ask for help be honest because I promise you if you aren’t honest, it does bite back.
I know how you feel I’ve been through it
