Taylor. 17. UK.

Just some info off the bat.

I had a large fight with my brother (I was not the initiator of the fight but I was the winner in the final outcome) due to this my brother ran to my parents who took his side and immediately kicked me out, my brother smashed up £2000 worth of my computer equipment (I like to tinker) and I was left with my clothes and my pc and monitor left (each adding up to £1000) that night I stayed at a friends house where my equipment still resides there, the next day I went to my grandparents house, I’ve been here since.

This happened Friday. It’s now 7 days later and later today I have to leave my grandparents house and try and find somewhere else to go as they can’t keep me.

My girlfriend in all this decides to leave me.

Luckily I can’t get depressed nor cry so I’ve mostly just taken the time to be productive and research my options however everytime I do I just end up with more questions.

Someone who knows, please give me advice or a plan of action for me to take when I wake up. I have about 15 hours between now and when I become homeless. I have £0 to my name and my phone data plan expires today meaning I can’t make any calls after 12pm too.

Thanks a lot. -Taylor (but you knew that already)

Notes:

  • I cannot return home, not an option
  • my grandparents cannot keep me any longer
  • I have no friends able to take me in

Do you have a car?
This is what I would do in the US, not sure of your options in the UK but hopefully you can do this.
Go donate blood plasma for money, you can do this 2 times a week here, i'm not sure how much they pay anymore, but first time donars get paid extra for the first 2 weeks or something. This should be an easy $2-400 a month or something.

Then I would join a gym where you can shower daily and be able to have a place to go for some hours everyday, but not sleep there. If you have a car, sleep in your car.

The other thing is just look into homeless shelters and how they work and how much support you can obtain from them.. at the end of the day, you need a job asap until you can get settled in your own apartment.

I don’t have a car, getting one here is a very very tedious task.

Donating blood requires another lengthy process too meaning id be on my ass a while beforehand.

Homeless shelters are a thing but I don’t believe there is one near me at all, but hygiene wise I’ll be okay, it’s just the actual home im lacking in.

Thank you for your words though!
