Never try to starve yourself! I recommended watching YouTube workout videos and do cardio for like 30 minutes everyday. If you do extreme workout for 30mins-1hour, you don’t even need to diet! It doesn’t mean you should eat whatever you want though. The biggest changes with food you can make is less diary and less sugar. Don’t eat after 10pm and that’s it!
Something I learned going from 260 to 220 is that it's not about the number, it's about your lifestyle. If there are important things keeping you busy each day, you'll start maintaining a healthy calories in/calories out without even being conscious of it
Fasting just makes your mind crave food. I would recommend finding a more permanent solution
