I cannot handle my current job position. I accepted a promotion because I couldn't handle my previous position (cashier) due to it being far too customer-facing.

I need to get out of this job, but I can't go without an income.

The only available job positions in town that I am able to get to: my current job, stocker, cashier, fast food cook, waitress.

I cannot consider at home jobs because I am not able to get anything done at home even when I want to.

I cannot do this anymore. I just want all of this to end. What do I do?

do you have any degree

languid dagger
#

No

#

Education settings and situations involving myself freak me out too much.

proud owl
#

okay

#

do you have a GED

#

or graduated

languid dagger
#

I graduated.

proud owl
#

okay

#

what do you excel in

#

math? numbers? ect

languid dagger
#

Nothing

proud owl
#

what are you good at

#

then other things

#

are you better at math then englishe

#

ect

languid dagger
#

I'm better at reading than doing anything else I guess.

#

There's no top 3. It's just reading and then everything else. But I don't really excel at it anymore

#

That's reading to myself silently, mind. Reading aloud is not easy because my own speaking distracts me from reading which makes me need to stop and try again because I can't keep up

proud owl
#

what do you enjoy doing

languid dagger
#

...watching Youtube.

proud owl
#

on the side you could try to start writing and sell books to make extra cash.

#

itll relieve you of stress too

languid dagger
#

I'm not all that great at writing

proud owl
#

so?

#

no ones always good at something

#

simply learn to write better and better

#

it takes time

#

you got freetime i assume?

languid dagger
#

I can't do anything I'm not good at

proud owl
#

keep trying

#

keep writing

#

do you know how to write a paper?

languid dagger
#

Not really

proud owl
#

what do you know how to do

#

what are you good at

languid dagger
#

Watching YouTube. That's about it.

proud owl
#

alright

#

make youtube videos then

#

do reactions videos

#

cooking videos

languid dagger
#

I don't think I'd be very good at making content.

proud owl
#

you think that

#

but have you tried?

#

you limit yourself by only doing what you think ur good at, but its just a thought

#

break that mental bind, you can do literally anything you want aslong as you don't hold urself down believing ur shit at everything

languid dagger
#

Well if it doesn't turn out good then it has to be destroyed

proud owl
#

no it doesnt

#

keep trying

languid dagger
#

Yes it does

#

If I create something that isn't finished in a couple minutes and isn't exactly as it is in my head, it has to be destroyed.

proud owl
#

okay

#

you most likely

languid dagger
#

Doesn't matter if other people like it or if no one sees it, or even if it's just practice. That's how it has to be.

proud owl
#

you show signs of imposter syndrome ect

#

you should get checked

languid dagger
#

I don't feel like I don't have the talent to be where I'm at.

proud owl
#

yes, thats the problem

#

you do but your so scared you dont you hold urself back

#

get a therapist

languid dagger
#

I'm not scared.

#

I'm really not.

proud owl
#

#

trust me

#

#

Look, I am in a similar situation. I'm 33, can't stand my actual job atm and NEED to just change something because my life has become a giant ball of boredom and nothing new. I don't know what I like, what I'm good at, or even who I actually am. Still, even though is hard as hell, I'm trying to change something. I started to try and learn how to code. See if I adapt, see if it's something I can pursue as a job. I'm not good at anything as well, but if I don't start doing something, than this is all there is to life and nothing's going to be better. If you really want to feel better, do something about it. Even if it's not perfect. Nothing ever is perfectly perfect. Let go of you wrong notion that if something's not good enough, that you're not good enough. There's good in imperfection. It shows progress. It shows willingness to get better. Like Naketm said, get a therapist. They can help align you with what you can/can't do and likes/dislikes. And also helping you with your imposter syndrome. Best of luck
