im not religious at all, but i would say generally yes it isn’t morally correct to kill another person, no questions asked
of course history and modern times have tried to sway the outlook on that under the guise of ‘defending your country’ but even still war started in the first place because of death, what more is inflicted murder going to do to help resolve the issue?
in terms of religion, christianity in particular, i don’t think killing another human being (playing God, if you will) will be exempted even if it was during a battle or necessary for your survival; the reason being youll still continue to bear the guilt and weight of the reality no matter what
The stance of some churches (maybe most, not sure) is to give distinction between a just killing and an unjust killing (a murder).
