Why would you stop?
It's normal to have a sex drive.
If you're doing it so much that it gets in the way of your life, then work on doing it less. Being ashamed of it probably doesn't help.
Sorry, but that's just false. That attitude is harming you more than helping.
Sounds like you've got a lot of shame around it that you should unpack in therapy, especially if it's been that persistent.
Then work on doing it less. Find the point where it's not getting in the way of things and keep it there. And if you slip back into old habits then just try again.
Do you see how that's a loop you're caught in? Why not take the way out that's been offered?
