It's the fight or flight response when you feel negative. Isolating yourself may feel better, but it's only temporary. The brain looks for instant gratification when it doesn't feel good. Maybe go for a walk instead, or chill at a park
Sorry for being blunt, I've been in your shoes, many have and it's not the best place to be. Take one day at a time
