I like someone but I am afraid of telling this to them. But whenever I think of them or see them online, I just get this urge of texting them, but since we are not close enough, so I feel like maybe I might come across as clingy. I don't know what to do.

Think of it this way. You're not the only person having doubts about texting them, so if you get the urge to text them just do it. Most of the times they will reply, worst case they won't and that is still a good thing because you got the courage to text first. Just don't tell them you like them first message, get to know them better first and then you'll know what type of person they are and if they're really the type you like. Find a common topic and start off by that, wish you luck!
