@lament bear Firstly try and get professional help if you can through your healthcare system or privately, they can really help with serious issues like this. Secondly, one method you can try is to replace your unwanted behaviour with positive behaviour. Whenever you catch yourself feeling like doing something bad or hurting yourself, immediately try and replace it with something good. Maybe try do some exercise, pick up a book, get some food or water. Building up your willpower and reinforcing good habits will help you minimise slipping up.

why do you want to hurt yourself?

#

if you dont want to talk about it, I think you really have to take a look at yourself and see what is going on and if what you're going through is really irreversible

#

yea, you dont have to tell me. I just mean that you should really analyze carefully what you're feeling, because at the same time you feel like doing, i suppose youre rational side doesnt want to harm yourself and maybe if you udnerstand this it will help you not want to hurt yourself. But in general I would say talk to someone you trust, i dont think its good to bottle up emotions; avoid any situation that could possibly trigger you and if you cant avoid completely just minimize; and maybe try to build a strategy for yourself to try to achieve the life you want. For example if you feel sad about feeling lonely try to work on relashionships, if you feel sad about leaving with your parents, thent ry to work towards leaving them, stuff like that.
