Hello everyone! This post is about my Fakemon region based off Vietnam, due to recent or not so recent drama regarding racism and my Vietnam fakemon region I would like to clarify a few things regarding it. I am sure many who have seen the racist actions with the user "dinoman252" making jokes about the Vietnam War. The Vietnam War or the American War was traumatic for all sides of the fight, and is considered very controversial among the Vietnamese population, many lives including civilian lives were lost in the war. Due to this, being a part of Vietnamese history it will be interpreted in the region's history but it will have little to almost nothing in the region's storyline.
As a fellow Vietnamese individual, and my relatives having to flee Vietnam during the war, I would like to respect the lives lost so the following things will not be interpreted in the Annshu (name for my Vietnam region) Pokedex or Annshu itself:
- Tanks
- Missiles
- Bombs
- Helicopters
- Napalms
- Rifles
- Guns
- Soldiers
- Anything to do with the actions of the U.S. military during the War.
- Battleships
- The splitting of Vietnam on the 17th parallel
- Farmers with guns
- Talking Trees
- Any Pokemon having to do with guns (exceptions: Blastoise)
- Any Pokemon having to do with bombs
Not even Legendary Pokemon will have to do with this war. The only thing that can be considered "traumatic" within the storyline is the Evil Organization arc which revives an interpreted version of the Legend of Son Tinh and Thuy Tinh which sends almost the entire Annshu region into chaos with Earthquakes and Tsunami's triggered by a fierce battle between two legendary Pokemon. My interpretation of this legend will be revealed once I design these two Legendary Pokemon.
I do not know if this would be considered unrelated, if it is feel free to remove this post.
