You used to, when recycling weapons/scrolls was first added.
This was very quickly removed, because it meant any teammate could steal everyone else's stuff that was getting shared around.
Imagine for a moment, if a teammate got a scroll they didn't want but you did. They offer to share it with you and you're delighted. Then another douchebag player decides to turn it into copper before you could get it. That's the sort of jerkass behaviour this would encourage.

It becomes the game's problem when players start complaining how the game lets douchebag players do stuff like this. Unhappy players stop playing.
People having the ability to grab a scroll or weapon before someone who wants it could grab it is already bad enough.
