As it is right now, the +500 base damage for using a rifle, smg, or injector just doesn't compare to the other options, so here are my thoughts for alternate effects:
- All targets struck are linked together, then are all hit again and the damage is multiplied by total linked targets.
- Recover Shields equal to the damage dealt to each target. (This one could work well with swords)
- Enemies killed trigger 1 extra Cudgel Strike.
- Enemies are marked and take more damage for a duration.
- Enemies killed drop extra ammo/gold/secondary charges.
- Enemies killed reduce the cooldown.
