Only real reason you can start with it in solo is because of Lone Wolf, where it's almost always the best general blessing.

Absolutely no idea why they did that to Birb. He's been the worst offensive hero for ages, and All or Nothing was one of his best offensive ascensions.

And to use it as a blessing reliably means you have to go through act 1, the hardest part of the game, while breaking your armor with poor recovery.

It also shut down any reasonable armor break builds and their ascensions/blessings that benefit, such as Last Stand, Nova Shockwave and Oppressor, unless you have it.

Ironically, the old version of Oppressor would be more useful now, because to use the current version you now need itself and All or Nothing. 2 blessings.

The one thing that didn't shoot Birb in the foot is that All or Nothing as the blessing is actually stupid powerful. You just have to pick it while dealing with every other downside if you don't.

Bladed Cleave and Double Tap don't help, and Oppressor is useless unless you let yourself get shot.

Well Oppressor also works if you do the contrived stupid with Nova Shockwave, which setup and payoff don't involve Leap at all.

Seriously, Nova Shockwave now is pretty much just +100 Max Armor when using shotguns. The armor break part is incredibly hybrid to use.

I guess its just a trip to me, Bird always felt like a perfectly built risk/reward character to me every since they introduced All or Nothing. It had multiple viable build paths, you could go Gun, Cleave, or Leap or even a mixture of any of those and put together a reliable build, and now it feels like I HAVE to go Gun or I'm not playing right.

All 3 are strong in their own ways, with Flowing Light probably being more niche but still good on Crown Prince Energy Blade builds.

Swords might feel difficult because they require you to be close which can be hard to manage. They tend to want elemental fusions as a gemini.

The Poisonous Ghost is my sword pick for . Every third slash is a guaranteed proc which can lead to big combustion hits and the sword also has the best movement bonus which Sui likes.

To make it work for armor breaks, you need to;

1. Hit enemies 100 times with a weapon.
2. Hit an enemy with Cleave. This breaks your Armor.
3. Somehow recover your Armor because it's now all gone.

Step 1 merely slows things down, but step 2 is where things go wrong.

Not only do you have to use Cleave which requires getting close to enemies, without staggering them when you break your Armor like All or Nothing does, but you also have to do it without using Leap to close the distance, because that's likely your only source of Armor recovery.

Unless you picked Defensive Cleave, which conveniently got its armor recovery nerfed so it no longer doubles recovery on kill.

Oh yeah I forgot to add one more downside. The armor break bit is easiest done with a weapon build, because you neither need to boost Cleave nor Leap, and you'd be shooting alot anyway.

Until you realize that the armor break damage is skill damage. At that point the best it could really offer is a way to activate Last Stand. At worst you shred your protection the moment you try to slap some exploding lantern spirits approaching you.

try practicing your movement,to do that dont kill any enemys in any given room for like 30 sec to 1 min, just aggro them and dodge. that helped me alot in recognizing patterns and using terain to my adventage, this will help you dealing your dmg at the right time. after doing this for like 5 runs in a row i started to beat the tomb and desert much more frequently( i started doing that at reincarnation 8 and i wish i did it earlier)

Rainbow Arch can also be particularly useful, if you take into account you can fire its charge shot while the aspis is up, as long as you started charging beforehand.

Man, after 900 hours, I'm finally done with multiplayer in this game.
It's so easy to become broken. Everything gets one shot. Skill builds don't even have to aim, I'm pretty sure they don't even have to click.
Teammates can die 30 times and it doesn't matter. Game is a walking sim.
At least single player can still be challenging with enough restrictions

An optional extra challenge would be beat the unlocked Elite mode (until Pole Monarch this time) using the few Soul Essence you collected from your first successful run. Again, dying isn't allowed.

Speaking of bear, i have a question to those who played on Early Access.

So i've heard, that when Hyperborean Jokul and Pole Monarch first came out, if you fail the DPS check at the bear, you would "lose the battle".

What would happen exactly? Will a cutscene play similar to today's failed cutscene, but the Jade actually breaks apart, and the world will turn into darkness, and then you would get booted to the Run Failed screen?
(and also would anyone have any footage of that happening?)

The description was kinda useless at the time, so it only described the part where you lose HP when your Shield/Armor was above 0 instead of when full.

It didn't mention this was also the threshold for the full heal and HP damage prevention too.

Normally it's +75% weapon/skill DMG but -75% max HP.

Enhanced is +75% weapon/skill DMG but you lose 2% HP every second, down to 25% remaining.

Why is this bad despite keeping your max HP? Well because the moment you fall below a certain HP threshold due to the drain, you lose Life Guardian.

So instead of having 25% HP, you can now get 25% HP with no Life Guardian if you wait long enough without healing.

People a while ago seemed to prefer Fire Tower which makes sense. Highest whomp of the swords but I enjoy Poisonous Ghost because during Fatal Current you can purposefully miss the first two slashes and hit on the 3rd slash that guarantees decay for juicy combustion proc.

Actually, as long as you perform the big hit with the 3rd slash of Poisonous Ghost, it gives you 784 damage and 100% decay, compared to 875 and 50% burning for Fire Tower's second slash.

Lose about 10% total damage, but guaranteed decay can more than make up for it.

Hence my preference. Poisonous Ghost is a fun weapon and works great with Fatal Current so I recommend trying it for those interested. Almost necessary to pick up Voltaic Aegis tho.

suck is a hard word since you can literaly programm a macro on your keyboard that instant swaps your weapon and back to it so they dont suck they are just micro management where you dont have to do it

If you have to program a macro just so you don't have to micromanage when pretty much every other build gets that by default, it still sucks.

That's also not the only bad part about them.

• Only 3 scrolls and 1 weapon supports it.
• No heroes support it except technically Ao Bai if you've got an "infinite" dual-wield set up.
• That's still not even considering the fact the intended use is to have 2 weapons, which suffers from limited craftsman upgrades and less Gemini inscription abuse, so you'd likely just be swapping from and back to a single weapon anyway, or just completely ignore them in favor of skills.
