D1 and D2 were magic but everything since is garbo. I agree to not even bother.
Meanwhile my last run is Fire Fox Wench and trying for meteor stuff but not having much luck. Weapon damage seems to be the focus...
I throughly enjoyed D3 too
I did end up quitting a job to play it lol but overall it just didn't hit the same as when Blizzard North was still involved.
Torchlight 2 > D3 enough said
Is meteor focus plausible or am I wasting my time trying?
it's easier with Reincarnation spirtual ascensions
using Fireball is always the best choice though
hit him again
Question… HOW
killed the elite without hitting him
Ahhhh in the Lizard vault
I was trying to wrap my head around „HOW did he manage to kill him without hurting him“
But the elite kill wanting to kill despawn him makes more sense
Yes, but Atomic Bomb came out after Thunder & Glory, we were talking about the “first” OP Blessing
very interesting dmg number
my eyes where looking at the flat 10.000.000 highest dmg dealt number. i mean how likely is it to deal a perfect rounded up dmg number 😄
It's soft damage cap
^
"I'm so safe rn and totally am not going to explode in half a second."
so with soul strike, i should be trying to get a weapon with high dmg?
It helps. Projectiles count too.
Injectors like the Rainbow do get a sizeable damage bonus to make up for their much lower base damage but it's still better to use a heavier hitting weapon such as a Fire Tower, Hell, Argus, Tiger Cannon, Bone Dragon, certain snipers, etc.
thanks
LOL
anyone have an issue clicking ESC in game or is it just me?
I can't pause the game nor I can go back
ESC key works fine outside of the game
Only option for me to pause to Alt-TAB
Haven't had that happen.
owl is kinda silly with the variable scrolls blessing
Is there any way to learn how weapons work in this game? I'm having trouble understanding the nuances of weapons and what is good and what is not and how to make something good
continuing on the weapons thing, I have been playing monkey lately and im often lost on when i should start spending gold to upgrade the weapon. Its not even monkey specific, I often dont know how to judge if a weapon is really good and worth investing in
lmao this is true but like how early do u start upgradng a weapon?
end of desert maybe
That cant be as Atomic Bomb was a release Blessing when Reincarnation was introduced, And Thunder & Glory at that time was just a cooldown reduction
I believe Atomic bomb got reworked
As did Thunder and Glory
Hmm
T&G was just 50% CD
Atomic
Interesting
Well, guess I remembered incorrectly haha
Thanks for the clarification!
Atomic got reworked 18th Nov
T&G 30th Dec
Wait sorry
Even earlier for Bomb
18th June was the introduction of Tao and Reincarnation mode
August 25th 2021 Atomic Bomb changed
(2) [Atomic Bomb]
Old: When tossing a grenade, there's a 30% chance to throw all remaining grenades.
New: When using a secondary skill, there is a 30% chance to toss all remaining grenades without consuming uses. +50% Explosive Grenade DMG for 3s (stackable) every time any grenade deals DMG.
Release of Qian Sui saw the second rework of Atomic Bomb on Nov 18th 2021
Old: When using a secondary skill, there is a 30% chance to toss all remaining grenades without consuming uses. +50% Explosive Grenade DMG for 3s (stackable) every time any grenade deals DMG.
New: When using a secondary skill, there is a 30% chance to toss all remaining grenades without consuming uses. +50% Explosive Grenade DMG for 1s (stackable) every time any grenade deals DMG.
Thunder and Glory :
One time rework on the 30th of December 2021
【Thunder & Glory】
Original: -50% [Fatal Current] Cooldown
New: -50% [Fatal Current] Cooldown. For each enemy hit by a thunderbolt, +40% base DMG to the next thunderbolt for 10s. (Up to 30 stacks)
And for Atomic bomb recently the change to cap at 1000% bonus
Well recently
That was a little history on Blessings
Lovely
I believe the rework for Atomic Bomb was actually Sept. 24, no? @nimble flint
Fair
9/25/21
I don't know why, but Atomic Bomb coming out before T&G just feels, wrong to me, even though I'm staring at the patch notes that confirms it haha
I mean Atomic bomb's rework before T&Gs rework, sorry
Worded it wrong
I have been playing this game so long, I guess it's bound for me to remember some things incorrectly
cool
You can go to Steam, click on your name in the top right, account details [username], view purchase history
A bit later than you
Just a lil' bit
[He purchased Gunfire Reborn in 1967]
LOL
welll
I like to think you played on release, but it took you 15 days to realize you had a 2nd weapon slot
^_^
But seriously I got it May 19th so 5 days before EA
And shock at the same time
But the greatest achievement
Red Lobster simulator
Hi crab I'm a big fan of your rangoons
Mostly because around here they're just an excuse to eat a giant wad of cream cheese
Understandable
Got force-disconnected after spending about 10 minutes in 999 ping hell, at the end of a max difficulty run, and I'm a little peeved, to be honest
Meanwhile, my connection to other services was fast and stable
Has any info been found out on why the new update brought online problems (could also mention that choosing a host is impossible now), and if the devs are aware of them?
I have noticed more issues lately, including in single player. Not sure if the Steam Client update causing the sound issues is related.
Like a lag where you slide when you move in single player wasn't there before
and good ping in the menu yet enemies are frozen still for 3 seconds at a time
I gotta ask, is the plant spores gemini just widely known to be super OP or something? My friends and I beat Reincarnation 2 yesterday and I swear, once I get laser gauntlets + a decent shotgun with that gemini I literally just point at stuff and it dies, lmao.
Almost makes me feel bad like nobody else gets to play, you know? But also feels like I'm nerfing myself dramatically when I don't use it? (plus it's a lot of fun watching everything die so quickly, lol)
idk why but all my spore runs feels like I'm not doing anything dmg wise
yes it's op
You're probably not pairing it with the proper off-hand. You want to have a high RoF weapon as your primary and something that shoots a lot of projectiles per shot as your off-hand (shotguns)
Dude, it's so OP it almost feels bad :/
yeah I've had that lol
hell with 14 bullets and rainbow
Rainbow isn't the worst, but try something with an even higher RoF like a gauntlet. You'll see, lol
extra props if you get a gauntlet with some sort of RoF increase inscription too
Rainbow has auto-aim. It's the second most consistent weapon to use for spores.
I'm pretty sure I've had spore gauntlet before
First is Radioactive Gauntlet, because it has a longer auto-aim range AND can hit many targets.
Why does auto aim matter? I figured RoF is the #1 priority
more hits
because you don't have to aim lol
Because you land more hits if you never miss.
radioactive gauntlet is pretty good in general
rainbow can also hit through walls.
Hmm, I feel like nothing in this game is hard to aim at, maybe the snipers from far away. Even with the Fire Gauntlet, you just absolutely tear through things just by pointing at them
what is a good hero to run if you want to focus more on weapons?
You need to aim at them for so little time I feel like auto-aim is legit not even worth thinking about, haha
The aiming isn't the part that costs you.
It's the aiming at each individual enemy.
You have to keep adjusting where you look to land hits. This takes time you could use to hit things.
Rainbow and Radioactive Gauntlet you don't.
Oooh, I was thinking of the rainbow arch
Yea, the RoF on Rainbow is still super high, so yea, that'd be a really good weapon
Oh wow and the Rainbow gets a +20% MS boost? Kk, I gotta try that sometime now
Only downside I didn't like with the Radioactive Gauntlet is that you can't target weakspots, but that's no biggie fi you just remember to not build for CritX
may try to go for a fatal bloom spore build
Makes you weaker vs Bosses though, but that's fine, it's still OP
If you're using spores with Radioactive Gauntlet, crits don't matter anyway.
Yea, everything just melts
Not that it stops Radioactive Gauntlet from getting double damage from enhanced lasers anyway.
do you just upgrade then etch gemni or pray for the rng to bless you
Remember when spores were only good on
and still meh
I did two back to back runs with a fire gauntlet and a radioactive gauntlet. It was pretty much what you'd expect. Fire was unreal vs bosses, Radioactive was unreal vs mobs. Both made the run effortless though, lol
If I find a good gauntlet early before Gemini pop up, I'll save it and etch in the gemini, yea.
If desired weapon is found before the 1st boss in Tombs: Level up to level 5, etch gemini
If the weapon is found after killing that boss or Act II: Etch gemini [weapons with 4 inscriptions will etch a gemini even if not level 5]
Earlier in my Radioactive run I tried that Gemini that combines your elements with a Fire Sniper that had 100% chance to cause element.
It was cool to see the explosion fusion constantly, but it was honestly just so much weaker in comparison to the spores that I rerolled the gemini
Combustion is really strong but requires some nuance to scale it. Spores are easier to set up and the scaling is easy [just upgrade the shotgun]
Oh, I didn't even bother upgrading the shotgun, just the gauntlet. I guess you could upgrade both to increase the damage though, yea. Everything was melting so insanely fast I didn't even think of that.
Radioactive Gauntlet isn't the best combustion weapon because it's an injector. Lower damage per hit weapons might not give combustion a good enough impression.
Is it even stronger to upgrade the shotgun instead of the gauntlet in the case of spores?
yes
Yes
Ah, that's crazy, it's even more powerful than I thought, lmfao
What weapons do you like to combine for combustion?
Since spores care about both weapons and their base damage the shotgun is more bang for your buck on upgrades.
It's generally powerful but you'll get better results with big hits. High projectiles used to be really good with it but now suck because there's a hardcap on combustion procs per second.
Ah, gotcha. That explains the injector sucking, yea
They can. Especially so if you have other ways to scale that damage/make it crit.
Hmm, well, Tiger Cannon can't crit, right? So maybe it wouldn't be great? Maybe it's good on snipers?
Can't crit naturally.
Combustion still scales it well, but you can force it to crit with the Wait for Good scroll every 10 seconds, Deadly Counter scroll if you get hit for 3 seconds [6 enhanced], or just pick the Counterviolence blessing for a flat 50% forced crit chance.
You can force it to however.
Aaah, good to know. I wasn't sure if you could force crit onto stuff, but that makes sense. Deadly Counter is one of my favorite scrolls ever with Bloody Ammo, haha.
What do you think the best Gemini for Launchers is? I have a friend that likes to use em, but always feels weak. I've read that Ao Bai is really the only one that can make launchers work, but I never use either, so I dunno. Maybe that magazine gemini can work well with it?
Lei Luo can make launchers hit pretty nicely too
Can we PLEASE get Stormblast 3 to gurantee crits again?
They nerfed it because it was OP in Nightmare, then dropped Reincarnation
Ah man, that sucks
he doesn't need it tbh
They nerfed it because back then you could use Concealed Ammo to deal so much damage that it caused the game to crash.
Launchers are probably what most would deem to be the weakest weapon category because they exhibit a few problems like most not naturally critting, defensive prefix enemies being a problem because of that, and their splash damage not helping against elites/boss health bars.
They can still he good and you're correct that Ao Bai is ok at scaling them. Biggest buff imo is the Counterviolence blessing, but Mag Share or 1 mag gemini can be good. Element share for combustion if possible is decent now that launcher element % chance has been buffed for some.
Nowadays that's not as much of a problem, but regardless he doesn't need guaranteed crits. He's powerful enough with all his blessings.
I feel like it would help bring gun builds on him up to par with skill builds
With the Q blessing, you can beat the game with your eyes closed, and without using your hands
Ah, that's good to know, thanks. I'll maybe give em a try if I happen to find a launcher that has an element attached to it + a gemini I can reroll
skill builds are overtuned
You know what would also bring gun builds on him back up to par?
Nerfing the massive buff that skill blessings got.
Launchers can be prepared as follows: First Strike, Mag Share, some love and magic = 600 ammo Launcher with sweat dmg. Add some Combustion and Crit to taste
That's fair
What gemini do y'all think works well with Snipers? I know it can be a bit dependent on scrolls you have at the time, ofc.
I don't like how some skill builds still feel impossible to make work
That's what Ultimate Gambler blessing was supposed to fix.
Element share if combustion is possible, CritX share otherwise. Albeit with the new magshare Gemini that might outperform CritX. Ask Altanna. Unsure.
Hii
You can reroll ascensions. If you don't get ones you like, you might get them when rerolling.
But there is none to play with
Problem is, Ultimate Gambler is so hilariously weak compared to the actual hero skill blessings that almost no one bothers.
I mean, even with 100% perfect ascensions, some skill builds just feel meh
Like, I don't know why Tao has an E
Aaah, cool, good to know. Does this also apply to similar style high damage low shot weapons like the bow? (I have a friend who likes these types)
I'd say so, yes.
I literally never use any of my characters' secondary abilities, lol
There's still some insane second abilty builds
Although I don't think you can mag share gemini 1 mag weapons like the Golden Bow just fyi
Tao Q build, dog Atomic Bomb
Ah, yea, that'd make sense. Is that 1-mag gemini good on some shotguns? I read the Argus is potentially good with it due to its fast reload speed, but I've not yet tried it.
Yea, my friend plays Tao and I give him all my secondary scrolls, lol
Crown Prince without his nades would feel terrible please use them
📈
Crown Prince showed up to the party with FREE BEST ELEMENT IN HIS KIT and you're just gonna do my boi dirty like that?
Oh yea, I wrote those off before I knew about the fusion elements, lmao. Moved on to other characters like Nona/Chicken 🫡
Oh, bump on this btw 👀
Sword Mastery + some cdr(and swords) gives you permanent E. In addition to boosting damage, you can also invest points in defense(аctually, I don't engage in such nonsense) and become practically invincible with a ton of shields and damage reduction.
wheelsaw
But the damage is so meh from my experience
I've tried it with a Tiger Cannon to some hilarious success. Video of that can be found if you scroll up a bit in #gunfire-videos
Ice Blade, Sword Mastery, Luminous, Furious Wave, and Epic Swordcraft
Without Ice Blade yes
Oh holy crap, yea, I see that. haha
Even with Ice Blade, you simply do the minimum amount of damage required to kill, yes?
you're missing sword enthusiast
Once you get enough cooldown reduction, Sword Enthusiast and Amplified Sword lets it scale up massively.
Because cooldown reduction is so valuable, the Sword Mastery blessing ends up being kinda mediocre.
And Ice Blade has a cap against any enemy with their salt, so that's not great either.
I preface this by saying you're correct. I'm not asking for a serious rebuttal.
But also consider this: Gambler is fun. And I sometimes play this game to have fun. Sometimes. Maybe.
Well of course it's fun for some people who don't like curbstomping everything all the time.
Is Tao the character to play if you're tryin' to use swords/melee weapons? What Gemini usually work well on melee?
Tao is probably the worst in terms of the sword weapons.
Tao's definitely not the hero for melee.
Oh, fair enough, lmao. Qing Yan?
Isn't it ironic?
She uses high RoF or high hit count automatic weapons.
Monkey/Green birb are the best imo. Turtle works just fine, Crown Prince is pretty good with Fire Tower. Lei can do niche builds.
Try Cat with a fire tower build, it's my fav sword user
Yea, definitely knew she was good for that at least. Never played her
Nerfed
Hey, I used her with ghost once in SA and flower chain. THought it was pretty fun.
In what way
I think fire tower got nerfed, not like it really matter though.
To my knowledge new combustion made it even better.
"Reduced second hit's elemental effect chance from 100% to 50%."
What Gemini would you use for Swords? No one in my group has tried to make em work yet
boo womp. Unfortunate. Imma still use it tho
swords is always ele share
Oh, yea?
Not much of a nerf imo
It's hard to beat elemental share gemini if the weapon you're using is elemental. There's specific cases where this isn't true, but generally speaking it's hard to go wrong.
Or Spore xD
You're gaining effective damage against [if the weapons are different elements] two types of health and fusion effects that are good damage [barring manipulation but even that's good CC if you REALLY want it I guess]

I like share element on rainbow
Oh yea, and mag share
With elemental weave
Also most things are gonna feel weak in comparison to spore on that weapon lol so not your fault
You just started with one of the game's best builds rn
Haha, fair
"Things are taking more than 3 seconds to die what is this garbage poopoo DPS"
's best scroll
Hard to think of good Gemini for Shotguns since they usually don't get elements. I guess you're kinda limitted to Mag combine/1-mag/CritX combine?
Or spores on an Illusion, maybe
Dual wield canceling counts for Elemental Weave and Fast Loader
and mag share...
Ah, I leave Ao Bai for my friend, so I usually just play Nona/Qing Yan
ok, gn people
Holy crap, lmao
I dunno the Monkey's skills, but is this particularly powerful on him?
Shotguns can benefit greatly from sharing CritX with, say, a Strike Wing or Lightning Ksana. But if you're not landing a lot of crits mag share is also great now. Elemental share used to be super good when relevant but now that combustion has a cap it's meh. Haven't tested 1 mag gemini enough to find out if I prefer it over the above.
Cool, I'll give those a shot then, thanks 🙂
Mhmm. Be warned tho that mag sharing a Wild Hunt will lead to early onset arthritis
Your clicking finger is gonna get a workouttttt
Haha, no worries, I usually default to the Illusion anyway. I think that's my in-game "favorite weapon"
It's a good pick. Almost never a bad pick.
Good taste
Do you still think going for elemental share for combustion is good on sniper despite the combustion cap?
Yes because no snipers are gonna proc fast enough for it to matter unless you're firing a Woodpecker with an auto clicker or something lol. The proc limit only really applies for extreeeemely fast firing weapons/weapons that have lots of projectiles that hit simultaneously.
combustion cap?
Yea, pretty good weapon 🙂
In Wild Hunt we trust
Icy Spear gang
Is it good all the time? Hell no. Do I use it a lot anyways? Yes. Absolutley yes.
My most used Monkey weapon is def the Fire Tower tho.
I was shocked when I found out that it counts as a pistol, so started usin' em more with Nona, haha
Pistols are the category that either means literally or "it doesn't fit anywhere else" lol
Or a hybrid situation I guess. I could see people classifying the Icy Spear as a sniper. A Piper. Snistol?
Piper? I barely know 'er!
How do lighting/corrosion affect enemy shield/armor/health? I know fire does less to shield and more to hp, right?
tyty
Oh, outta curiosity, why do you say corrosion is the best element? The slow + combustion possibility?
Almost always useful elemental effect, and has the best 2 fusion effects.
Ah, yea, that makes sense. Is miasma pretty good? I haven't used it too much yet, only recently learned about fusions in general
Also, wiserlemon told me to ask you if you think CritX or MagShare is better on snipers these days
Miasma is alright. It's mainly useful for if your damage sucks.
Not 100% sure, but it's probably the 1 mag gemini that would do the best for non-elemental snipers.
You'd have to reload more often, but most snipers don't have much magazine anyway, the reload time is reduced, and you get up to +150% total damage almost permanently.
Ah, fair enough. And just get element share for the snipers that do, huh?
Yep. Though Lighting Ksana you might not need element share.
Shock isn't that great on long-range, slow-firing weapons.
Manipulation won't do much, and Miasma won't stack fast.
Oh, for real? That's good to know. Why's that though? 10% damage just not enough to justify?
Yea, that makes sense
+10% damage also sucks.
yea, that's true 10% is hella low now that i think about it
Is 1-mag particularly good on Lei Luo thanks to his primary and how it can cd reset on a kill and whatnot?
I'd imagine it would be good tho I've yet to try it.
Could be good, but I'd imagine that Magical Supply might conflict with the reload bonus.
Your primary ability would get shorter and shorter each killing shot so eventually the reload would take too long, but it's still good while it lasts.
Sometimes you end up having pretty good primary cooldown anyways so it ending isn't a huge loss.
Ah, makes sense
I assume for flowing light, your go-to gemini should be MagShare and for Poisonous Ghost your go-to would be Element Share with a fire weapon, is that about right?
If Flowing Light could get 1 mag, it would be better with that one.
But it sadly can't.
Oh, really? Flowing light with miasma? Somehow that doesn't seem strong, maybe I'm underrating miasma
Testing a different kinda build atm, but this is the kind of exclusive inscription you'd want to see on a Rainbow for spores build, huh? Seems ludicriously good in my head https://i.imgur.com/k5aY86N.png
It's better than Manipulation.
Yea, that's fair. Plus I think probably the big thing is that you just get that additional damage type buff by having two elements, huh?
Not getting attacked when in melee range sounds good, until you realize that all melee weapons can stagger enemies anyway.
Hmm, at the same time though, now that I think about it, don't fire + lightning kinda stack well when you're just taking damage into account since lightning + corrosion attacks shield/armor which never both exist on an enemy?
I did have a pretty god tier spore run going on, but was just messing around on elite
Miasma fusion deals with enemy HP though, because it's percentage damage based on the enemy's max HP.
Ohhh, right, yea
Shielded/Armored enemies have less max HP, so the sword is good on them.
Unprotected enemies have more max HP, so Miasma is good on them.
Ah, that makes sense. So you definitely want corrosion as your side arm with Flowing Light then, yea
Yeah.
What did you think of this exclusive inscription? Is this as good as it sounds on a spore build with Rainbow?
2 beams, double the enemies hit by spores.
Yea, seems insane, haha
Though I can't remember if it's bugged or not.
"With the unique nature of firing a constant beam, each time the fire button is held it is intentionally considered as only 1 attack. Due to this, many things can work in its favor or are disabled/don't work due to exploits and problems."
Crap, I think you're right
Spores isn't one of those things. Works fine on stuff like Laser Gloves.
There used to be a buggy interaction when a beam hit multiple enemies, which is why it might've applied to that exclusive inscription.
I don't know if it got fixed, because I don't like spore builds.
Ah, just because it's just a "more damage" gemini? Or because it's OP? Or both?
Limited to certain weapons too, in a sense
Because it's OP and easy to get. I don't like the OP, easy to get things because it makes the game really easy.
Ah yes, the 2 ingredients that makes me
Yea, I completely agree. Wish it wasn't so powerful, but I'll probably ignore it in favor of other things now that I've experienced it enough. Maybe I'll try it one last time with the rainbow if I get that exclusive inscription on a different run just to see what it's like, but I'm tryin' a 1-mag run with the Sunder on Nona and it's pretty fun, haha.
I'm just running around 1shotting everything in the head. The only thing now is to choose between that -50% reload time or +70% Lucky Shot Chance (tbh, I'm currently using the later and I can't imagine the -50% reload being better)
-50% reload, depending on the weapon, can massively increase how many shots you get per second. It also speeds up the initial stacking of the damage bonus.
+70% lucky shot chance on the other hand, can suffer from severe diminishing returns if you have many other lucky shot chance bonuses.
Yea, that's true. I guess on slower reload weapons like the Sunder, the -50% probably helps a lot, whereas the +70% is better on like, a Hell or something that naturally reloads fast anyway.
Definitely never take the +70% when you have that scroll that limits your lucky shot to 150%, lol
Wouldn't you have to keep the base dmg higher than your primary, such as upgrading the weapon to keep the 70%?
There's also the fact that to use the +70%, you need to level up both weapons, and always let your offhand weapon have superior base damage.
Sure, but couldn't you just find a launcher with that gemini and then you're golden?
Not always.
You main hand weapon might also be a launcher, or just a weapon with decent damage that you've leveled up a lot.
Right, for sure. And in which case you're probably using one of the high damage/low mag/slow reload types that would really want that -50% reload speed.
With stuff like shotguns though I feel that it's pretty trivial to keep that base damage low enough since it's based on per pellet, right?
I heard otherwise because fireball proc stuff is based on per individual pellet and it'd be OP if it was based on damage like that
Shooting a sunder can get you 9 fireballs, but their damage is based on per pellet sorta thing
It's based on base dmg though.
It depends on the context what it uses.
Hmm, I had a Sunder in an earlier run with the 80% lightning ball proc and those damage procs were only doing like 62 damage each on a gun with like, 120x9 dmg
In the case of elemental balls, it makes sense it's based on only damage, because each projectile can make its own elemental ball.
Yea
Dang, wish it was more consistent or would use different wording then for what counts as base damage.
Like, use base damage vs base damage per projectile or somethin
What do you guys think of the Lightning Step scroll? Nobody in my party seems to care for it at all, lol
Hmm, not sure what the mini cat orb is, sorry. Is it good because of the imprisonment?
Ah, cool. Do you usually get it by like, backing away from enemies chasing you? Or is it more a go-ham and dash through the armies sorta thing?
Maybe either depending on your character/playstyle?
And especially Act 4 boss.
Oh wow, it imprisons the act 4 boss? Nice, that's pretty neat
the act 3 snake more annoying than the act 4 tbh lmao
It's highly useful if a dangerous enemy gets too close to you and you need to get away.
Conveniently, a lot of the most dangerous enemies like to get close to you.
Hard agree, lol. My party usually doesn't have trouble with Act 4 boss but dies all over the place on Act 3 Snakes
I'm never fast enough movement speed wise for snake or I try to dodge and conveniently every place I can get is also highlighted red
If you get the enhanced version however, that's when you go ham and dash near enemies.
Because instead of striking where you were, it strikes enemies directly, constantly imprisoning anyone near you.
Thunder Step isn't really useful for snake boss though.
Yea, definitely not, haha
Dang, imma have to get that enhanced version..
Can you find weapons with 5 inscriptions + gemini on em, or does that only exist through etching another onto one with 4 + gemini?
Only found through etching.
Ah, good to know. Cool that you can do it
Maybe I just felt this way cuz I was using an illusion with bloody ammo at the time, but is Merciless Combo as insanely strong as it seems?
Honestly seems like one of the very best scrolls in the game. I guess it's probably not as good on slow shooting weapons admittedly.
Seems like any kinda ammo/reload cheat scroll combined with it is absure tho
gotta love no being able to sleep and barly anyone is on
It was so good that it got nerfed.
omfg it used to be INFINITE?? lmao
I remember the first time my party got this scroll I was like, 'hold up, this seems insanely good'
Who ever thought to make it that initially, hahaha
Back then there wasn't really all that much to get higher than 100 in the first place.
Tao didn't exist for example.
Ah man, I feel like any rapid fire weapon would be insane with that though, so long as you could get past the 1s(2s) barrier.
But yea, makes sense though to a point
Fish or bear paw on double illusion dual wield dog with pre nerf merciless combo 😩
Is there any way to get Lone Wolf modifiers in a 2 man squad? Friend and I want to make the game harder, would be nice if we could play 4 man scaled difficulty.
nope
Really wish the game was more mod friendly so the community could make more challenging modes. Right now we can pretty much guarantee a R8 win, so only way to make it more engaging is push for time or purposefully gimp ourselves.
correct
my first death was so long ago
Afternoon all! How is everyone doing today?
Yeah, that's very understandable
But I have a few ideas for videos again.
Also I need to work more on the truest of true foundry only runs
A foundry didn't pass the damage check? Say it ain't so.
massive
I was today years old when I found out Wheel Saw counted as a Shotgun for Armor Breaker.
So is this how I can find people to play with on pc ?
in #1064937664870101033 i guess
a shotgun born to kill melee weapons
It was melting everything can confirm. Didn't get Skilled Trick tho
So nona E can 1 shot the snakes....
This is why I play
Its fun for maybe 100 runs but then you tried out 90% of the builds and its gets kinda boring :/
Idk, I have about 2k hours and I'm still appreciating new ways to have fun, by playing the stuff I don't play often
Like, I play Qian Sui maybe once a year
Atomic (rework) got boring halfway through the 1st run.
I was there, I witnessed
anyone has a good build for nona cant seem to build a good build
Is the Explosive Bullets scroll any good? Never was quite sure how it worked, I tend to avoid it due to that.
whats the best build for tao to get the most dmg
I think Q with the blessing that gives you dmg upon Q pickup
It's not great because it doesn't scale off total damage of the hit unless they changed that.
Also for those curious Explosive Magazine doesn't seem to work with a mag share Hell which is understandable but super disappointing lol. I was hoping for a reload nova build with that.
Well, to clarify I think it worked for one shell? But not the rest.
all three trees are pretty good for nona, missile is probably my favorite
has anyone else been having desync/latency issues in mp?
Is this where we discuss the game? I don't understand why we need to select platform?
Because different platforms have differences between them.
Especially between Steam and Playstation/Gamepass.
Right...
well I revisit this game every several months and I am immediately reminded why I can't be bothered. I just finished a run on normal and got 451 essence. Wow... enough for one or two skill unlocks.
Harder difficulties give more essence.
Considering how many characters there are ascensions there are... I mean give me a break
max sword enthusiast & sword shadow spam
How much would I have gotten on nightmare?
Normal enemies give +20%, elite enemies give +80%, bosses give between +40% and +100%.
You only need about 25k soul essence to permanently unlock everything.
it took an hour for that run
50 hours or so.
just to unlock everything and feel like I can actually play how I want... and begin to experiment with how the game should be
Reincarnation 1 difficulty is also significantly easier than Nightmare with certain modifiers active.
And also gives slightly more soul essence as well.
Ok, cool
Less if you buy soul essence stuff, but you don't need to.
Still feels like a fuckin slog
You can always look for a multiplayer group that plays on the hardest difficulty.
Multiplayer is ridiculously easy, there will usually be at least someone who makes each run a breeze anyway, and you can get carried by their efforts for maximum soul essence gains.
You can't even edit the game file for soul essence. Insane
Alternatively, get a 100% save file.
I'm sure there's some floating around somewhere.
In order to beat the game solo just now I chose a "patrimonal" sniper with lieu liu or whatever his name is and just kept upgrading that one sniper. It obviously didn't even have one of those duo inscryptions. Pretty sure that wouldn't be viable at harder difficulties, right?
The last time I played this was Nov 12th lol
It might still be. Gemini inscriptions are powerful, but not super necessary.
I was just trying to get in the swing of things for the game again, and hoping they changed the grind
I really can't understand that decision
ok I have one legit quesiton instead of complaints. What is a "weapon skill"?
I came across a scroll that said I do extra skill dmg after using a weapon skill and extra weapon dmg after using a secondary skill
and when both are active it gets rid of the debuff and doubles the buff
Does that sound right?
Close enough.
so basically I should have taken it and casted Q or E then zoomed in with my sniper and shot
I didn't take it
My fav build on her prob using pair of us blessing and gun play, get as much wp scoll on her use aura of venom and share elem with a high fire chance wp and u will melt every thing and if you got bad luck with you golden cob you can still go for an E nuke build with is still so good on her
I mean at 35 hours I had pretty much everything I wanted unlocked
just unlocking random stuff as I go and maxing heros I don't play now
Same
Just try to go for r8 multi lvup the survival tree first there will be a min max guy that will help you
Is there a way to check your stats on a particular run?
lucky strike... increased dmg... etc
Shrieker still the best gun
Anyone know how the final phase of the yoruhime boss works?
I keep dying to it as cat and don't know why
I've already beaten normal mode as nona
You have to shoot it’s eyeballs
You can shoot the giant cannonballs it launches at you to despawn them
damage isn't the problem
I just can't survive it
What kills you?
I honestly don't know
I usually go down to the artillery shots
I don't see anything on my screen that was killing me
had a +9 pupil with shock for miasma
Fantastic, I love the pupil
I ignored it the first few runs but it's actually good
Cat is my least consistent character
It took me 3 runs to beat normal mode for the first time as nona
My cat runs alternate between dying early and doing well 😦
That’s fair
Just gotta play around those elements
It helps if you meow occasionally too
I just can't survive as cat
Spamming grenades?
Just gotta schmoove then
It takes practice, honestly
Maxing out talent tree helps a bunch, too
I beat normal mode as nona without levelling her talents 10 levels ago 😦
Nona has a great safety net
yeah
Plus, Ironwing just draws aggro
the only thing that I can't beat as cat is the final boss phase
everything before is super easy
You’ll beat it more consistently once you run into it a few times
might as well farm soul essense in elite
Farm soul essence in R8 😉
If you don’t have it unlocked, you can get an inv from someone to get there
I only have 5 hours of play time
Right? Makes me want to snipe everything with a bloody drill
It's nice having a game wher I can have fun landing headshots all the time
If there's a hero whosse gimmick is only crit damage I'd probably play that
Lei Luo has a super fun crit build
His E gives him a buff that basically makes his next shot nuke
I got through entire runs with only crit no elemental weapons xd
Amazing
LOL
first time using the gun
I still have yet to play with the jet octopus
I drop it soon after I pick it up, every time
walking up to a boss to charge your shot is not good for your health
also I managed to get hit by every attack and didn't die
LOL
I also just found the decay effect scroll
+40% movespeed in decay would be so good for the 3rd boss 😦
Corrosion enthusiast?
hehehe
Or decay driver
one sec
I believe corrosion enthusiast actually slows you down a bit, by 10%
corrosion enthusiast
Instead of -50% move speed slow during decay effect, it’s just -10%
But damage reduction is nice
good night
It was lovely talking to ya, and hopefully we get to run up some Gunfire sometime soon!
bye
well, no.
decay is a multiplicative movespeed penalty that is applied after all movespeed bonuses/penalty calculation, which means if the target have decay it'll always move at half speed.
https://gunfirereborn.fandom.com/wiki/Movement_Speed
hi
Morning all! Hows everyone doing?
Does this effect stack every time you do corrosion? Cause last time i had it i would do damage and slow to a crawl and i removed it and everything was fine
this reminds me of when I spent literally 30 minutes trying to figure out if turtle's extra movement speed ascension was applied before or after all others only to realize that multiplying by a percentage did the same thing no matter what
I didn't sleep
yo im new
just trying to finish reincarnation 6- whenever it ends
and im starting to have a struggle
does the gun fire dlc only add characters to the game and nothing else
The DLC adds weapons and characters
the philosphy is that with DLC releases there is also a base game update adding some more stuff
The DLC is basically an additional support if you so will
Why does this game suck so bad solo? Literally ran out of ammo trying to kill the elite spearman mini boss. I guess if you don't have corrosive dmg you just can't challenge him on nightmare solo?
you very much can
read: literally ran out of ammo trying to kill him
rolls eyes
yeah get hung up on a corner once while firing at him for 5 minutes and you're toast
SUPER FUN
It's so infuriating becasue I want to like this game, but it makes it so fucking hard to do so.
What weapon was you using?
also talent tree
the ammo increase and stat increases are more than enough to clear the fight with even an un-upgraded weapon
Normal Ammo is over 500 shots in the mag , the fights also have adds and urns all around that have increased ammo drop chance if you are empty
I had the lazer hand thing
I don't know? The red one
The gloves eat your ammo.
tiger
Thats the worst weapon type for him
shrug I took what was offered
high fire rate low dmg is what you DONT want to have
anything else would have worked better
I had the +0.3% weapon dmg if killed with a crit from 15m and I was trying to stack it early
That does crap all with those gloves
I was going to change later. I assume it is permanent for all weapons
the only glove that could be used with that is the acid one due to being similar to rainbow
Not to mention that fire damage does 75% to armor.
you could have picked any other weapon and been better off
That's another thing. The game doesn't do a good job at letting you see your stats so you don't really know if you're making something good
Crit hits are weakspot only so no stats.
Movement speed is arguably to be shown
The issue with bonus dmg and luckyshot chance is that those are WAY too variable
you dont really get permanent stat upgrades in a run but they change drastically in fights due to scroll conditions and different weapons
Alright so
For some ungodly reason the game is unplayable
Not only levl 4 is already hard, but at one point a swarm of enemies starts spawning and the game's fps tanks like crazy
Really, what's the point of enemies being so overwhelmingly tanky?
They feel like living sponges
hold on enemies are tanky?

The only true tanky enemy is 1.3 Elite when your team does not have damage. For the rest: max out all talents and heroes - delve into the mechanics - delve into the builds. With the right build and hand you can oneshot anything
Iit doesn't matter, the first Elite mob is often the thickest because you don't have any damage yet
Yes, no, depends on the situation
What level should I have for example at around the first boss
weapon level?
You can easily have a +5 around that time if you just upgrade the last weapon you get
but money is low early on and you might miss out on scrolls
better to take it slow and go through all the vaults you can get
I'd say it does a pretty good job at telling you the important stats in this case.
The damage and CritX on Laser Glove's weapon card is low and ammo consumed when you fire is high. Also the Tiger's skills specifically say that it only boosts the first shot that hits an enemy, which would be one of dozens.
I don't know how else you could miss that.
Okay how am I supposed to tay away from the lancer
He literally moves faster than I do as he spins around and corners me in the tiny little room I have to fight him
Why is every single elite in this game balanced and designed entirely with coop in mind? I don't have friends. I can't do this.
Protip: Don't get cornered.
Please understand the room is far too small
HOW am I supposed to stay way from it if it moves so fast?
Rooms that were actually too small it can no longer appear in.
Then why do I keep dying to the spin?
I literally move in the opposite direction, dash away, and still die
You always have the potential to outpace him, regardless of who you're playing as.
The difference is some weapons slow you down when held, compared to your starter weapon.
Here's a hint though: What can you use so you don't need to move as fast?
do dmg reduction effects like Strength Taker work on bosses?
Yes.
full duration?
You do realise I didn't play this game for 150 hours to hear riddles yeah?
Yes.
ty
If you've been playing the game for 150 hours, surely you would have the experience and insight to know what I'm hinting at.
Especially considering it's one of the first elites you can encounter, and the answer is found everywhere.
Dude, it ain't funnny, just say it...
Let this be a lesson on reflection. Think about what you've learned while playing and what you can use to deal with the problem.
And if you cannot find a solution, your inattentiveness is on you.
You gave me the most obscure hint ever
I understand you're frustrated and are just reaching out for some advice. Perhaps being more plain will help: Slowing the spearman down with the
element effect or a goblet ascension like
's Cursed Mark might help you outpace his spinning attack. There's also the option of exiting the vault if you're feeling too pressured. Be careful as you can't just hop in and out over and over. You'll get a timer penalty if you try to abuse that.
Sometimes you might find the Spearman to be too difficult--there's always the option to ignore the Vault as it isn't necessary to winning the run.
I promise you the elites are not balanced around multiplayer. Plenty of people manage every elite and boss solo--sometimes you just need to be calculated about it. I actually think the game is better balanced solo than it is multiplayer by a landslide, but that's another can of worms.
A lesser man would just say "skill issue"
In this case, I stand between the lesser man and greater man.
Customer service changed me. For the better? Undecided on that. But my tolerance is higher.
My tolerance immediately drops the moment people start assuming dumb things without getting more perspective.
Especially when they've played long enough that they should have that perspective already.
Hey Altanna I think Atomic Bomb is the most balanced blessing.
Shock is the best element.
You have enough perspective to know this is a lie.
Do I?
is there a fast way to get essence? im tryna unlock all my talents
Pre-Reincarnation: Repeat the highest difficulty you can clear entirely, without dying.
Post-Reincarnation: Repeat Reincarnation 1 with Lone Wolf, Spiritual Link and Interdependent Fortunes active. Pick things that greatly benefit you, or hinder enemies, if you know how to use them.
Multiplayer: Join a group of players doing Reincarnation 8 difficulty. Get carried by their superior stats and multiplayer's easy difficulty.
To whoever was complaining about the injector gloves, just wait until you have one with good inscriptions + spore
I swapped spore builds like 4 times that last run because I kept finding better and better builds
Sometimes it helps to remember this is a rougelike, part of the fun is getting good RNG. Sometimes your runs are shit, sometimes they are god tier and memorable. I've had nona missile runs where I didn't get the hold Q ascension, that was painful. I've also had nona runs where I'm nuking everything with suicide device and holding Q with essentially unlimited weapons. Bunny is a fun character to play too, even Cat has some good qualities.
Me like gun fox
Getting 6 Burnout stacks for 75% move speed, 75% fire rate, and 900% weapon dmg makes me happy
I need to try that
Been enjoying sword + spore build on bunny
Pick up a single upgrade of the slowing enemies with fatal bloom too and it all works together pretty good
Oh for sure
You missed the entire point that it was specifically in Long Ling Tomb and NOT late game
Assumption one that is wrong : Dont run
Hug hin im circles as he want to stab you then
Also if you want to run away and you dont have the brick or a sword as your weapon selected: switch away you slow yourself donw
and most of the rooms he spawns in have small half walls to hide behind
ALSO
In a Vault you are never forced
just go
The exit is always open
That's why I said just wait until you get it, because it's a fun time and going off their posts the past few days they don't seem to enjoy the game
Then again you didnt read
This wasn’t about the injector
this was about the weapon choice and elite spearman
What the gloves or other weapons can do was as important to then as a wet fart in that moment.
The early dmg output on general is what annoyed them saying that the spearman is unfair and unbeatable
many early players have that impression and for sure he is IMO the hardest T1 Elite we have
Top 3 hardest elites, period.
What are the other two
IMO that would be Elite Henchmen at 3 and 2 would be Elite Lobster , not to difficulty but how easy he can nuke you or deny movement
Elite Lobster has ended quite a few runs
On a Elite event at catfish village you can get some genuinely evil combinations of elites
I think the desert elites are the worst selection though
I've really only been playing R8 with all extra dream things on and Lone Wolf 4 and by that point if you got shafted in items selection it's so difficult to beat some of them with just the bonuses from overconsumption (R8LW4 nickname is Jerry Mode and if you don't start calling it that I will turn you British)
I'm kinda weird though and I don't pour a ton of money into upgrades like other people do
because I don't go into a run wanting a specific weapon
it just turns out that run was a bloody drill run
etc
but if I get a craftsman +1 occult scroll I'll start dumping money
I just really dislike not having multiple extra uhh enchantments on my weapons
like I would rather wait for a dropped gemini effect weapon than craftsman it on early
which might be why I struggle with Desert 3-4
Also : Elite Catfish Warrior is finally a threat
Before his rework you could go afk in front of him
with a shield
He would even MISS if you dont move
he terrifies me
He would constantly jump back and forth and dance around you and try to hit you. Do a slash, jump back and wait. He would wait even so long that your shield starts to recharge
And his only skill was the ranged blade attack
He didnt have the that anime after image attack
Elite Arsonist, Elite Mandrill Cavalry.
Both of them have massive area denial that is quite painful almost constantly active.
Arsonist is more vulnerable to Decay and obstacles, but if you have neither get ready to be slowed down and melted. They also appear when your build may not be active yet. There's a reason why his only vault is a large arena with varying elevation.
Mandrill Cavalry has a reputation. Moves fast, hits hard, knocks players around, adds extra area denial to his area denial, always at least 1 appears in Elite Gatherings, and doesn't even have the decency to die when you kill him the first time.
my game on it's way to not proc enhanced craftsman occult scroll for the last 25 weapon level ups

What specifically do you want to hear? It all depends on your understanding of the game. There are things that slow down mini-bosses, things that speed you up, things that allow you to kill an elite before it reaches you, and items that can kill an elite with one shot under certain circumstances...
brick with +10% rof on crit causes god to shake in fear
And what about a 16.1 CritX Brick ?
only a 70 CritX Brick
hola? alguien habla español?
si amigo estas bien
does anyone have a xing zhe build?
How do you get 70 crit?
Daily challenge
Oh
you will learn while playing: the first stage must always have a corrosion weapon
or a hexagon
otherwise you cant beat spinning man
You don't need those to beat him.
Does anyone else think we need a impposible difficulty level for the veteran players ?
R8 and soon to be R9 is all ready hard enough. Even with all upgrades
lol
how else
i need video proof of spinny guy getting beaten in R8 L4 with no corrosion or hexagon
ok
i am
ice blade exists
Tao's blessing
ok
atomic + endless assault
nah not really once you know what to do.
spinny?
the spinning knight
boss in longing tomb
hes the hardest boss in the game for sure
brah thats easy
is that right
after being downed about 4-6 times my team kills him lol
X)
In bad runs though not gonna lie. Got one where he had extra defense and we wiped
in r8 l4 solo hes really hard to beat imo
except he's not
Don't see how he's hard to beat when you're given 2 blessings.
ok cool
skills exist
literally skillfire reborn
basically any skill-based blessing build will do the job very very well
Overconsumption
What's the point of this phrasing? Will there eventually be a health only character? https://i.imgur.com/0mmM796.png
oh wait that's enemy effect
never mind
lol
I think Explosive Bullets has some weird synergy with Hexagon
it's like the scroll treats Hexagon's special as base damage so it does the explosion killing all the enemies around it
Does Unfettered Will affect thinks like combustion damage since that scales off of your weapon damage?
Do weapons like Talisman, kunai, or swords that refill ammo automatically count as reloading?
Only by proxy.
Combustion is based on the hit that triggered it. If it was a weapon hit that triggered it, it benefits from the higher weapon damage from any bonuses it receives.
No. They refill themselves, which doesn't count.
The only thing it works on are effects that include "refilling" the magazine, such as Astrological Magazine.
is there a way to tell which is which, like where do bows fall?
Ah, okay, so the Crown Prince + a Fire Weapon with Unfettered will is still good if you're shooting with fire to trigger the combustion?
Yes.
If it doesn't go through a reloading animation or the reload button does nothing, it probably won't count.
Star Devourer, Arc Light, Glimmering, Prism, Icy Spear, Talisman, Brick, Golden Bow, Strike Wing and Fire Tower all don't reload.
oh interesting, so the other swords do actually reload
Not automatically, but they do.
Hi hi
Hello!
Dang, so the rare inscription of "100% chance to inflict element" doesn't apply when it's your side-arm and you're using Elemental Share gemini, huh?
If it provides a permanent effect, it does.
If it's a temporary effect, it resets when you swap away.
When you swap away? Im talkin' about having it as your side-arm. Seemed to not work for me. I'd shoot with my fire weapon and it wouldn't apply the decay all the time
Why would you expect 100% chance to inflict elemental effects to-
Ah, I see where you're confused. It's +100% the base chance.
40% decay becomes 80%, for example.
It doesn't set 40%, 30%, 10%, 5% or whatever else to 100%.
Ah, fair enough, yea. So that does apply to the gemini then? That's pretty nice, actually
Hey so
Got any tips for beating the cube room solo?
I always seem to be unable to keep it alive
Attacks that stagger, Manipulation fusion effect or just killing them really quickly.
So RNG gated stuff got it
Hardly.
Elaborate
You can guarantee stagger effects with like... 4 heroes.
You can guarantee a manipulation-like effect with 1.
And some have absurdly high damage, which massively helps with killing quickly.
You asked for tips with beating the cube room.
I gave you tips.
What you do with them, including completely ignoring them then suffering the consequences, is your decision.
But all of those are far too volatile and unreliable
I am very often not getting the elemental damage in guns as I go through the game by the time I reach that room
unreliable
I literally told you they were guaranteed.
Not to mention I play characters without access to the tools you mention
But you believe whatever you want.
Why are you a mod
I genuinely was unable to do any of the advices you made because the run literally didn't allow it
what talents should i prioritize?
I'm not mad, just baffled how biased the game is towards coop play
I have no friends, why am I pushed out of so much content???
Expedition tree ASAP
you are missing the most powerful shop related talents
reroll and scrolls
They've got scrolls.
They're missing rerolls and extra shop slots.
thats what I mean
extra slot for extra scroll
After that chance for exclusive inscriptions
can anyone help me with the issue that im having? everytime i open the game the sound screams at me like really loud music even with all volumes turned down in game and in the volume mixer, it never did this before but its really strange and makes no sense lol
It's something else in the volume mixer.
does "total HP" always mean health + armor/shields and "current HP" or "max HP" always mean only health?
"Total HP" is HP + Shield/Armor.
"Current" means the current amount of the stat being referred to. "Max" means the highest possible of the stat.
With 40/80 HP and 60/120 Shield for example, "Current Total HP" refers to both (100/200), but the current value (100/200).
so when trying to determine whether they're referring to shields, the key is to look for "total"?
Yes.
ty always helpful
any xing zhe build?
many
primary skill build works pretty well
This is roguelike, same things can be easy or hard, but not impossible. And there are 0 mechanics that allowed in coop only, even more, there are Lone Wolf that single player only
Technically there is player revives exclusive to coop, but that's not saying much.
Nona 🙂
you love to see it
enhanced is neato
stonks
Player revives.
Oh wait, you can revive Iron Wing.
Nevermind, forgot that was even needed.
@marble ruin And if everyone played online, we wouldn't have any problems with finding players, because Steam version has a player count somewhere between Battlefield 2042 and Halo Infinite. The majority of players peacefully enjoy playing solo.
I mean, the argentina playercount ain't high
Trust me, there are even fewer Ukrainian players, but that doesn't stop me from playing multiplayer. But going back to your question - the game can be easily completed in solo mode, at any difficulty level, you just need to understand the mechanics a little and level up your talents and characters
As a Nona main, I can say that doesn't really kick in about roughly 99% of the time......at least before the snow level
But the Nona hero talent where Ironwing can revive Nona when she's downed is another thing as well
The game is rather confusing, Is there a section here that kinda explains the game as a whole?
Here you go. https://gunfirereborn.fandom.com/wiki/Gunfire_Reborn_Wiki
Caution: There will be spoilers for stuff you may not have seen yet.
Just got the first DLC, what exactly is the general gameplan for the characters? (Xing Zhe & Li)
no way to get your old progress back is there?
Li you go either meteor build, flame build, or fire weapon build
xing zhe I'm not sure, havent played him at all
is there a website with meta builds?
Pick a hero, scroll down to builds. There are no grimtools.com for GFR
What's with all the people who ask for advice then refuse to learn the game lately

I don't envy modding here lol
Splash damage/lock on injectors to clear frail enemies like bombers and beetles before they reach the cube and clear hordes in general
Staggers like dog nade bird kick turtle hurtle etc to take aggro off the cube
Manipulation also works for this
Just knowing how to get good early game damage in general helps
Maxing out the talent tree helps with literally everything if you've not already
Good target prioritization and awareness in general
Sometimes your run will be going a bit poorly and cube vault will be hard anyways - this is fine, it's just one scroll you're missing out on. Roguelikes shouldn't ever be 100% consistent at high difficulties imo, even for good players. This game can get pretty close to that if you know what you're doing, which is extremely frustrating for the community, but vaults in tombs are sometimes an exception to this - accept it and move on; as you improve at the game, you'll probably be wishing there were more rooms in the game that are possible to fail
Also if you want specific advice, and feel like your character preference is making the vault harder, it would help to mention which character you were actually playing
Feel free to ask if you have any specific questions - the game can seem pretty esoteric at first but this is mostly bad wording due to the translation team...doing their best lol
Atlanna maintains the wiki and does a pretty good job of it so most questions you can ask are answered there tho
Thank you
But what are the best scrolls to increase damage out put, I’m already good at projectile invasion
It's an irrelevant question in many cases - you usually can't control what scrolls you're getting, unless it's a choice of 3 or you have multiple options in a shop
And shop scrolls may or may not be tied to talent trees, I don't remember
It's usually pretty intuitive from reading scroll's effects though
And like understanding what the stats listed mean
For example, it's not hard to intuit that things like elemental relic, Hawkeye sight, lucky shot scrolls etc etc are better than things like wait for good or ninja's discipline
I'd say there's more nuance and complexity in basically every other part of putting a build together - picking guns, picking inscriptions on your guns, picking geminis, picking ascensions, and so on
How do you learn a game?
I'm new to roguelites
Basically, as you play and fail, you'll learn what to do and what not to do. You'll unlock weapons and scrolls that you'll like using, and you'll figure out what builds work well together
it's not too unlike a classic arcade run of, say, Streets of Rage, or TMNT
I didn't bother learning anything until I hit nightmare difficulty, so it's entirely possible to just wing it and make it through runs.
im bored
@vapid crag okay I got to the final stage in reincarnation 4
Idk what to expect from here on
Asking questions and reading/watching informative content also helps
That too
I'm playing as Tao for this run
I play in spanish so idk the exact translation for the scrolls and such
I'm playing her around sword on hit
Got the talents that summon swords with gun hits and blossom, with the talent that increases dmg per each sword summoned
ah gotcha
After that is just lots of yellow tree with utility here and there
Well if you want your runs to be free, prioritize Tao with spores gemini
Current weapon is a lucky craft, +1 Big Hippo with +65% vs ele ailment
She's the speedrunning character because in a sea of broken builds, spores is the most broken
Ah, what about the talent that grants bonus damage based on mag size?
I already have near infinite ammo
You mean the blessing? First strike works on her, especially since she can refill her mags so easily with the associated ascension
Nah not that one
Like, the inscription I guess? The one on the gun
Sorry, localisation barriers
Since you play in Spanish, talents usually refer to the tree that you invest essence to at the end of runs, ie the metaprogression system
Inscriptions are the bonus effects on the bottom of weapons, with Geminis being the inscriptions that you can roll for at craftsman that require both your guns to have the same Gemini
Blessings are the reincarnation-exclusive boosts you pick from a set of 3 at the start of each region
Ascensions are the skills you invest in at the end of each room
I think you mean the Gemini that shares both guns magazines, and gives bonus damage based on your current magazine
You often don't need that Gemini on her
It can work in some circumstances, don't get me wrong
But if she has ammo extractor she often doesn't need the mag size, depending on the weapon and your fire rate and dps, of course
Ah well. My big hippo already melts stuff. I got lucky, got the scroll that makes you hit twice
So you're left with the damage boost, which while really good, is overshadowed by spores and elemental sharing
Usually you run mag share when you are getting value out of the mag size and the damage, like with launcher builds or the wild hunt, etc
Ah well. My big hippo already melts stuff. I got lucky, got the scroll that makes you hit twice
What elemental weapon should I get for complementing hippo
I have an electric one
Oh, I see you're starting to understand the game :))
I just got a good run, really
anyone wanna run some games
Use #1064937664870101033.
yeah i do but no one types in there
Doesn't mean you should post here for the same outcome.
Honestly, you probably shouldn't run hippo at all lol
It can work sometimes, mind
But nonelemental weapons are at a disadvantage due to needing a specific inscription to become elemental
And then on top of it, the hippo applies a speed penalty to the player while held, which can be pretty detrimental versus certain enemies
Yeah but it just obliterated the snakes
Of course if you can circumvent those weaknesses it's fine, almost every weapon in the game is good under the right circumstances
And tao in particular synergizes with it since it has a high RoF for stuff like her secondary skill
Unless you have a specific target in mind, Corrosion weapons should always complement non-elemental.
Yeah. Corrosion is the best element in the game in general
Non-elemental damage suffers the same penalty against Armor that other elements do, and Decay is super useful.
