Why would they need to lower the proc rate of orbs when Aura of Venom is a 22 RoF and woodpecker is what, a 12 RoF? Wasn't a problem before this patch. Rifles were an underused category and still are with orbs existence.
Orbs don't scale super well for DPS. It's either to apply element or for Tiger to activate Bolts.
Fire orb's radius is pitiful, corrosion orb is a glitchy joke that can't keep up with your killing speed, so that basically just leaves lightning orb, which is admittedly pretty good.
Comparing 4x Crit or +100% rate of fire, I'd say lightning orb isn't even necessarily better. It depends.

Because by default you've only got an 8 and 12 magazine, respectively. Gotta reload without special extras.

The one with the least crappy accuracy is probably Big Hippo which has that whole -10% move speed issue too...
I think it was the right call for rifles to be included. Might need to tone down lightning orb for shock chance to nerf Lei Luo's bolt build though.
Could cap the lightning orbs to cause a max of 1 shock per second regardless of how many spawn to cripple the combo quite well

The spiritual assault mode is pretty fun and seems to be decent at getting essence to upgrade with. Def going to run that mode with characters I don't normally play to see if anything else catches my eye for regular play

Depends who you're playing with.
If you're playing with people who keep dying, purposely ignore stuff like elite vaults or just waste a lot of time picking stuff, probably not.
If you're playing with competent enough people to let you progress further than you would on solo (quickly gets easier once you get some key talents) or people who can carry you through the highest difficulties, then it'll likely go faster.

saved myself at campfire and alt+f4 at 2.1, work's like it should. But yea, you can just save and exit through menu at 2.0 and other pre-stage area's. It's a good way to test some blessings

I still haven't fully understood how the new Monkey's Blessing works. The pistol seems to apply projectiles from a shotgun (I'm talking about the First Strike bonus), but I didn't notice any Q dmg on shotgun. The shotgun also doesn't seem capable of critical hits with the sniper rifle, and the sniper rifle doesn't have any projectiles.
Either this thing doesn't work properly, or I need to check everything with a fresh mind.

If you want to focus pure damage and ignore the launchers godly explosive damage modifier and AOE, then you could go Argus + Crit I guess for more single target

The only "server" you connect to is to pull the information for the daily challenge
Peer to Peer means someone becomes the host for the game session and manages all communications between the players

In solo the game pauses when you "compare" rewards, look at peddlers, craftsmen and peculiar chests, or when you open your inventory.
However it does not pause when looking at dropped weapons, dropped scrolls and dropped other rewards.
And since you even have a timer every 5 minutes before the enemy onslaught starts again instead of a "press F to pay respects continue", this is very much deliberate.
That being said, it used to have even less breaks.

Upgrade talents. Tao is a hero who starts each run weaker than most, so you might struggle at first with her.
Additionally, if you spent the essence on talents not only do you upgrade every hero, but you also make progress towards unlocking heroes anyway. Dog for example takes a minimum of 405 soul essence.

- Main weapon projectiles need to hit to count. Many projectiles results in many misses. Offhand weapon only needs 1 hit per shot to count entirely.
- Spore damage is divided by projectile count. Many projectiles for your main weapon results in less spore damage, especially with Porcupine, which also has the worst damage per projectile.
- Offhand weapon only counts once per shot. Rainbow shoots fast. Porcupine does not.

Technically you do get more enemies which means more copper, and weapons from Elite Gatherings.
But generally you have no reason to.

Cannot be a fusion effect, instant kill effect, or a non-fire weapon using element share to benefit from a fire weapon's bonuses.
