Oh my god, one shotting Itcahy Offspring is so easy with enchanced penetration bullet. Had a Arc Light with a charge ready and sent all 5 daggers down his mouth.
I find it weird that the daggers apply Nona's "On reload" ascensions and talent but doesnt work for the Enchanced Tactical Reload scroll

Personally I'm more of a fan of the ranged mode because missile salvo hits more enemies than Shockwave. The tant on strike mode redeploy is nice, but ultimately taunting doesn't matter if everything is dead
Yeah I did a couple runs with Melee but the shooting one feels better
Also has better ascenscion support, I feel. The attack speed in ranged mode is pretty nuts even if you ignore redeploy spam with missile salvo

But yeah, if I have the Blessing that makes it so that enemies Iron Bird attacks are marked for 3x crit and +150% weapon dmg I like to spam the drop into a crowd and crit them all
Turret mode tends to only hit one enemy therefore the marks arent as abundant to use
If you get the Fire Coverage Blessing then turret mode is crazy. +40% missile dmg for 5s for every missile launched by Iron Bird. I havent tried it with Shoulder Cannons but if that skill counts towards refilling Nonas own rockets with Force Recovery then I dont see why it wouldnt work with Fire Coverage. That would make it so the last missile in the barrage does +640% dmg at max rank.

I assume wild hunt has more procs but I don't know the dps numbers of corrosion 75% DPS + combustion vs fire 150% wild hunt with basically no combustion
Aura of venom can crit and have combustion vs wild hunt having more hits per second for blossom and higher base

so i was waiting for my friend to stack his Q stacks with the green bird killing lantern spirits
And i kept jumping around on boxes and i jumped on top of those and jumped towards the wall (Which shouldnt be possible cuz thats the levle bounds)
And i fell down there and got perma stuck
Waited for 20 minutes or so for my friend to get 3000 stacks with his Q for the level frame achievemetn
And told him to just go thro and beat the level (This is very close to the start)
he goes thro the portal and instead of giving me notification that i have 30 second to ready up it just immediately gave me th game overscreen while his game kept on going and he went to the next stage.
even the lanterns cant explode and kill me

The lasers hit the ground in an AoE, which you probably weren't looking at the center of.

Weren't the nameplates above the HP bar of enemies? They are now positioned below and they cover the head. It's quite challenging to land critical hits and it's annoying, unless when fighting melee.

Hmm... appears to be a distance thing. My guess is the position above their head is based on where the health bar is, not where the name tag is.

Ah, that all explains it.
My guess is because of all the status effects that you can now give enemies, the devs probably found it better to move the name tag below, since the statuses appeared above.
But they forgot to change the anchor point where it appears over their heads from the health bar to the name.
mmm make sense yeah. Hope this get to the devs and they can fix it I love long range fights in this game. Very satisfying landing those crits from afar.
There's also the fact that this happens too.
Same battle, but one name drops lower than the other, as if it expects there to be 3 health bars.
If you submit an issue post with all this information, hopefully it can speed up their progress in fixing it.

I had this happen without any speed boosts. I was playing Panda on second stage vault. Jump vault, not the one with poison balls and I noticed I slowed down just before dashing.

Actually, it's even worse.
Each explosion is its own hit for every enemy in its range.
So if you've got 2 enemies within range of all the explosions, you get 2 hits, per explosion.
Primary cast autofill astroaspects should be based on the draw probability in the bottom right when you go to your occult scrolls tab in tab
Your cards drawn bonuses are also based on the same probability and setting you choose to put it on

The Star Rearrangement talent, while I haven't confirmed it yet, just slightly improves the base Astroaspect chances per stage.

it was introduced alongside Spiritual Assault (and it's needed otherwise there's gonna be guns on the ground everywhere), but for some reason it applies to the main run too? i have weapon(s) disappearing when staying in a level for a while.

I suggest primary cooldown reduction with shrieker or tiger cannon primary
And get the launcher has +3m aoe jade
Don't use the exclusive jades for monkey because the value is really low
Whether you want the 2x2 refresh 20% chance on kill or the 1x3 -3 second cooldown on reload or both is your choice
I prefer the first because I typically get to a point of not reloading
Then you probably only need one of the 0.5s cooldown on kill and if you're lucky, ancient timer
If you aren't lucky you can reroll for the -80% CD blessing
And the Gemini you aim for depends on the launcher: shrieker wants critx Gemini and tiger cannon wants magazine share
You'd have to be there for a very long time.
Shrieker needs ascensions to get the crit on primary attacks so keep that in mind, since it doesn't come with passive sniper bonus
Or fire enthusiast deadly counter, which is why I usually run Fire Conversion and pray for deadly counter
You could not take the free shots ascensions and run -50% reload tiger cannon instead
Magazine Gemini needs like 160 magazine Gemini to be good, tiger cannon can be combined with anything for the 50% reload gemini
Choosing sniper over launcher in spiritual Assault is 100% a war crime

No matter how you dress it up, I question the best case scenario essence chain build versus picking up an upgraded mid tier weapon with garbage inscriptions
Somehow essence chain in spiritual Assault is worse than in reincarnation where it is one of the worst builds in the game
The DPS of essence chain is trash tier with all ascensions maxed versus an average weapon
I wouldn't really call a consistent 10m dmg trash.

Yeah I don't see how you get to outside the 100k range without specific scrolls
That's assuming you have level 50*6% skill damage, +300% skill damage from Reincarnated triple stack, the base damage essence chain blessing and glass cannon
With all that it's around 100k, so you'd need the +60% per enemy under essence chain level 3 to even approach cap
Caps at 8 enemies, maximum of 7^1.6, 20% chance to double, so even with god ascensions
And a crit
That's like 5 million damage
Without the 20% that's 2.5 million
And that's one target
So to hit 5 targets you'd do a fraction of that since it's logarithmic
1 target is 26x damage, 5 targets is 4x damage
...which is why I think if you have enough skill damage and multipliers to get 10 million on essence chain, why wouldn't you just use a launcher and aoe multi hit nuke the entire screen
Things that buff essence chain directly won't affect launchers.
Those things that buff essence chain are blessings and ascensions you choose

Then I stopped because I didn't like it.
Running around pressing q and watching everything die.
Reload speed on a Wheel Saw kinda sucks right? The animation to melee with the saw is the same duration regardless of reload speed?
Feels like a dead option for 1 magazine 50% reload speed
so I've gone through 20 goblets and I still haven't gotten heat core Am I just really unlucky or does it have to do with something code wise

sometimes I'll go a specific build that needs like 3 different ascensions and get none of them and clear the run, just happens
The less your build depends on ascensions the better IMO
Which is probably why some of my favorite characters and the sub-set builds I usually run aren't very ascension dependent

Tiger's got some very ascension dependent builds but even if you whiff all his ascensions you can fallback to weapon damage at least

ive tried the lightweight thunderbolt dash build and that seemed weak compared to other methods
because he was designed one way does not mean he is optimally played that way
his best build is fatal current + thunderbolt acensions with a shrieker to one shot the whole map
Everything he does is designed that way. Literally the only AoE to hit every enemy he has is the Patient Hunter spiritual ascension, and any launcher he decided to pick up.

and every time his magical supply triggers from one shotting, you trigger thunderbolts
so it weakens the trash mobs
And even that still has smaller AoE than other heroes.

Dog with Deafening Mortar can get up to 14m. Birb with Cleave can get up to 19m, Fox hits everything in a very long line.

Level 1 radius with any mortar is 8m. In 3 locations.
Patient hunter is 10m in 1 location.
They're both strong, I think Patient Hunter is stronger.

I just got a god ao bai build, better rng than my lei luo build, and I can still definitively say I prefer patient hunter by far
ao bai's movespeed is abysmal
his aoe radius requires him to get close while patient hunter can shoot across the map while also moving significantly faster
the mortar one shots all the elites in comparison to -sometimes- not one shotting with patient hunter
but patient hunter cleared normal mobs significantly faster
ao bai's survivability is rng compare to lei luo who literally starts with his fatal current -90% damage taken
ao bai requires more ascensions to be functional
again, I don't think it's close. ao bai shreds elites and the final boss but loses on normal mob dps quite hard

And I'm fairly certain you can also shoot even further away than Shrieker can, as I've cleared entire rooms by standing at the back of a room with it.

but then it does actually one shot elites
it depends on the stage of the game, whether you have a gemini, whether you have magical supply, whether you got bolts
whether you died with reincarnated for 300% skill damage
but once you have your build online, yes it should one shot elites if you headshot
and in many cases even if you just shoot the ground non crit
that wasn't my experience with it. i will try again and report back
when you first get patient hunter, don't have a gemini yet, and don't have reincarnated stacks for skill damage
that's when you will have the hardest time

I already used Overloaded dynamite for the dog build and tiger
and I got maxed radius on dog last run
and tiger was still wider aoe, not sure if that's a bug related to using a launcher with patient hunter
but yeah, maxed dog vs base tiger patient hunter and tiger was winning the radius war
whether it should be that way I dont know.
and this is still not accounting for the double thunderbolts hitting all around you while you shoot a distance away doing radius damage
you're hitting two spots at once per proc
WHILE also having significantly more movespeed
WHILE also having a base -90% damage taken versus dog needing ascensions or scrolls
and dog basically requires mortar to function with his build, tiger can function with everything but the grenade launchers
he can even use fire tower or snipers if needed
his weapon choices are far less picky
so on the average and the cieling I prefer tiger

It's not the worst choice possible but there is certainly better ones for patient hunter
i tried multiple shriekers, the mortar was braindead left click to oneshot elites

Mildly bad luck since you didn't get fatal current damage
But overall yeah that's pretty standard
does patient hunter mean you hit 1000 if you wait, or 1000 because you have extra duration
It's basically a growing damage multiplier based on total duration, including magical supply resets
It's gonna do +100% whether you wait or not minimum

Melee scavenger, melee attack speed, aim for poisonous ghost with fire tower Gemini, use right click to kill a direction of enemies
Usually want glass cannon + combustion damage
You need the +45% dmg increase inscription as well.
If you want big numbers with the weapon skill.
So get the guaranteed exclusive if you want to increase the odds of that, because a lot of runs you'll end up settling with a fire tower from not getting a good ghost

I decided to put Valiant Assault on the Mortar dog and it worked pretty well
he needs that movespeed buff badly
so what is the dog build again with the mortar? i did one run with dog to get the achievement for a win with him but i've never really played him.
i've never done an atomic bomb run either. i watched my friend do it once though. that was kinda funny
dog has a spiritual ascension that triggers grenade damage on hit, 60% chance to trigger per hit x number of grenades held
mortar is basically the fastest firing launcher so it's preferred
the grenade launchers have less radius
and just overall are worse guns
i like the frenzied shark if you can get it with the +fire rate and -reload time inscription but idk if that would be good in spiritual assault

I'm torn on bothering to dual wield mortars or using the endless magazine jade
I feel like there's no point in dual wield mortars
just pick the first thing you can slap reload gemini on so you can kill faster
that has lower base damage than your mortar primary
holding off to get a dual wield mortar just seems like less exp and kills
pop Spray Feast on final boss and he's gonna die after phase change instantly anyways
and if you dual wield mortars then you can't weapon special which is like half the appeal of killing regular mobs

That was definitely the easiest spiritual assault run I’ve had. Didn’t get downed once and killed everything in one or two shots from start to finish. Even the elites were melting.

It's now exclusive to Reincarnation difficulty, or doing a stupid hybrid build with both weapons and Cleave.
Some things actually did get buffed, like... umm... Victory Rush, and his talent for recovering armor on weapon hits.
But most of it was changing around ascension effects.
My usual bird build is wild hunt with shared mag Gemini so ig I’ll work with victory rush
Like how Gigantic Explosion no longer does cooldown reduction, but instead makes you leap further.
Or Iron Scud got Gigantic Explosion's cooldown reduction, but you lose the movement speed.
Or Death Mark now boosts Cleave damage on kill, but you also lose the movement speed.
Or Defensive Cleave now recovers Leap cooldown per hit, but you no longer get double Armor recovery on kills.
It's a real mixed bag of changes, but for certain Armor Break builds got hit the worst.
Is it just me or is Sting worse than Foundry when you aren't using elemental fusions with it
and Base Glimmering is probably worse than Foundry too

If anyone is interested in making the Owl a bit more reliable to play, please interact and/or react in the thread above. I really like the character's design and would love to see it getting a glow up into a proper caster instead of just using the secondary skill.
Even if that change happened, I somehow doubt that people would move over to using both skills equally.
Just like Li, even if both skills can be good, one is already far better than the other, and the devs would be completely unwilling to nerf it in any way that matters.
On the other hand, if the weaker skill gets buffed to be equal, then you just get a hero with 2 OP skills.
Makes sense. A bigger rework might be necessary but considering they just released the DLC I doubt it will happen anytime soon.

She's still got the problem of having 1 skill be far better.
Zi Xiao will likely suffer a similar fate.
Falling Star will never be as good as cards, and if it does, it'll be through buffs that make him way better than other heroes.

sacrifice dps for spreading element to more targets? arc light. sacrifice even more dps to spread elements slightly faster to slightly more enemies? thunderclap gloves
aura of venom is considered one of the best elemental guns in the game because it's base 40% decay chance plus its special lets it hit 22 rps, just under angelic aura
so you can elemental share it with flowing light so you'd have a rapid fire dps weapon that has miasma
orrrr you could go the other way and put fire tower on it to make it a combustion dps weapon
Fire tower is also amazing on crown prince
Pair it with the next attack bonus on his orb
combustion has a hard rate limit on the amount of procs per second so ideally you want a perfect ratio so you can keep 100% uptime
oh but i had acridominance and decay bombs so I've never used decay weapons

if you're playing single player I'd say lightning is typically more reliable, fire is better in multiplayer unless you want to play support

Kills everything slower than a good Combustion build, though.
Minimum it takes 2 seconds for a fully Miasma'd enemy to die.
Combustion can end them in 1 good shot.
And take out everything nearby too.
I only go Miasma on Prince if I'm desperate in early game, my build isn't scaling well, or if it's just a byproduct of my build via my weapon choice or Painkiller.
Why are the parkour portals so awful, you need like 160% movement speed to finish even the basic ones.
I've never managed to actually finish a single one lol
Pyrodom III is just too good to pass up otherwise as Combustion scales much better.

if you have issues with parkour cap your fps to 60 and use the foundry with 3
All Parkour vaults can be done with the slowest hero and 0 movement speed bonuses.
Just hold out Foundry instead of a heavier weapon.
If you press the 3 key, you can pull out your Foundry pistol which gives you enough movement speed to solve the rooms unless you have negative move speed via a curse.
if your fps is too high it messes up movespeed so uncapped players with good rigs can have issues

because that one is super tight and requires timing a dash at the peak of your jump basically
All of the desert ones, pillars, fire traps can't do them.
are you dashing in mid air? some of them if you have base movespeed require dashing

Could be your dash timing too. Typically it's best to jump and dash shortly after versus wait to dash until you're at the peak jump height.
Just so annoyed when I see 3 teammates staring down at me in disappointment. Even worse when they try showing me how to do it and I give up and leave portal
I feel you. Some of those rooms were tough at first. The Act 3 room with the extra chest up high in the middle still gives me issues at times. You'll get better once you start getting the hang of it.

Act 3 is super cheesable though, since you can skip the pillar puzzle AND you can have teammates activate the chest for you from underneath

I figured out you could do the pillar dash section in act 3 with Ostrich Rider if you time the jump bumping against the cieling correctly, without using the skip
Really appreciate the help, after my message though I went to the desert a few times and learned the best way to do pillar/flame ones, needed mid air dashes and foundry mostly. A +20% movement speed buff helps a ton too

Phantom Peddler refresh is the enhanced version.
Still better than the old version, which cost you an absurd amount of money to refresh, before they changed it to cost less, though it was still pretty expensive unless you had copper scrolls.
The only upside it had was it refreshed already purchased items.

Includes Lightning From Void, Lightning Governor, Fatal Bloom extra procs, Tidal Aspis retracting attack (with Unshielded Force talent), possibly Soul Strike's Essence Chain damage with pistols, Flare Calling, Blazing Rain, Cataclysm, etc...
