Just read all of his changes. Weapon builds on bird seem much stronger now with Leap builds being weird. Haven't tested. Death Mark only working for cleave is a huge loss.

When you see at the bottom where your E is, you can see a line its a grey/silver ish color and under that you see 3 boxes. If you can get 3 blues then the line will change color to a blue color which will deal extra dmg, if you get it to purple it will deal dmg and aoe, gold will do aoe extra dmg and shot more cards town. If you get gold gold you will do all that but also with when it rains down it will light gold which doesextra dmg.

You can change the priority (and see what scrolls are upgraded) in inventory

when you open your scroll inventory, you'll see a selection of buttons on the right
where you can choose what types of scrolls do you prefer to have
choose either of them, and the game will automatically "upgrade" your held scrolls according to the quality you choose
you'll see a smal icon to the bottom right of a scroll - that means it got "upgraded"
e.g. that will make a rare scroll count as legendary
effects themselves don't change, but the odds of getting better Astrocards will become higher

  1. scroll reroll & upgrades
    you can reroll any scroll that you pick up once, either when you're looking at it on the ground or in your inventory (except undiscardable ones - they can only be rerolled if you haven't picked them up yet)
    when you open your scroll inventory, you can choose which scrolls you want to prioritize
    the game automatically "upgrades" your scrolls with each goblet that you pick up, which you can see by your scrolls having an icon to their bottom right
    that means that the scroll got its quality changed (e.g from rare to legendary)
    the effects remain, but the scroll counts as legendary for all purposes (including Overconsumption, be careful)
    main purpose of this is to improve odds of having better Astroaspects ("tiles" from here on)

  1. the tiles
    each time you use your secondary skill, you draw one tile, that goes under your primary skill
    tiles define the power of your next primary skill use
    quality of tiles depends on how many scrolls you have, and how far into the run you are (later -> better tiles)
    rare (blue) < epic (purple) < legendary (orange) < cursed (red)
    most of your ascension behave differently depending on which tile you got

  1. primary skill
    when you use your skill, it activates an effect that's based on your currently held tiles
    no tiles / tiles of different colors: weakest version, one blast
    all blue tiles: two blasts
    all purple tiles: two blasts with a larger area and dmg output
    all orange OR red tiles: two blasts and a star shower with the highest damage output
    red tiles count for all the possible tile types, think of them as a "wild card"

on a mysterious jokul, Reincarnation 8, with 4 player scaling enabled via lone wolf. Sub-30 on a run where i wasnt even really trying to speedrun. absolutely insane
