how does this sound for a easy step by step plan
how to break the game with monkey :D
step 1: get monkey, the dlc's arent very expensive and offer very good value for money in my opinion so go buy the funny
step 2: get yourself a good piercing flame, the easiest way to do this is playing the owl (also in a dlc) and reroll all
your scrolls till you get enhanced masterful craftmanship(insert png of scroll) after that, just loop around in boundless
to get a good piercing flame. the most important inscription is
◈ +100% Weapon DMG for each enemy the ammo pierces and an additional damage is applied to all enemies it has passed through
this makes the funny happen. this is the PF i have (insert png of funny weapon)
step 3: start a run on monkey with copycat as lone wolf blessing, pick dimensional strike as your first blessing
step 3.5: while playing try to focus on anything that increases weapon or elemental dmg since skill dmg is irrelevant
step 4: while playing try to grab heavy single target weapons like launchers to fill up the stages that you dont have
your crisp piercing flame yet. launchers or shotguns are top tier choices
step 5: after nuking the first boss you can choose your second blessing! :D you can choose either painkiller or want them all or something like that.
wichever one you didnt take you will pick it after the second boss
step 6: repeat step 3.5 and 4 till the second boss
step 7: get to stage 3-3 where the arsenal guy spawns and grab that sexy sexy piercing flame and start seeing millions of dmg on your screen
bonus step :D: skip the invicibility phases on bosses if you want
now time to add a quick explanation how the funny works

With step 2, wouldn't it be faster to go through Boundless while using any hero with Supreme Craftsman for 3 rerolls per craftsman (6 rerolls with 2 PFs), instead of using specifically Owl to make Masterful Craftsmanship more likely (but also removing an inscription permanently).

It's OP with cat and acidomincance 3. Delivers the most insane results. Even if you pick it up from the starting chest. It's my favourite weapon in the game tbh. It's also a pistol so if you play monkey it's projectiles are almost hitscan, especially if you take an SMG as offhand it becomes rapid fire. It's unbelievably powerful in the right situation. But yeah if you play it suboptimally then it's trash.
I usually take a fire tower as offhand and element share. It becomes two projectiles that always crit, each with 50% chance to burn... It's very powerful. You just have to use it cleverly as on its own it's rubbish.

I believe the burn has to kill them. I ended up just giving up on trying to force that achievement. It was the last weapon unlock for me. Basically just take a fire weapon every run before getting to jokul and it'll come naturally.

Because monkey soul strike's base damage is that of your weapons base damage. Rolling multiple on a shotgun is the most reliable way to boost that number. If you're doing a sniper build on monkey (the best option) then go for crit.

I was stupid and right before final boss picked up an effective split and then had to start over once, but I got it on second try and didn't take any risks.

Explosive Ammo's description lies.
It doesn't cause crits to penetrate Shield/Armor. It causes crits to completely remove Shield/Armor.
That lets non-crits and any attacks from your teammates also work directly on HP after the first crit.

For the first question, yes, both weapons will do 20% Shock and 20% Decay. They also both have a +50% damage advantage against Shield and Armor, however the lightning weapon is still just lightning damage, and vice versa for the corrosion weapon.
For the second question, those inscriptions only affect the effect chance of the weapon it is on. Also the inscription is a multiplier, not an addition. +100% Elemental Effect Chance would turn 20% Shock into 40% Shock.
So if the lightning weapon had that inscription, both weapons would end up with 40% Shock and 20% Decay chances.

Bare minimum Airbag will protect you from 1 extra hit.
Unless you've got no Shield/Armor. But you do have some.

Indefinitely, until the game crashes.
At no point can you reach enemies that do enough damage to kill you or survive your attacks for an absurd amount of time.
Because Lightless Shield, Airbag, Life Guardian, Spirit Feline and any invincibility exists which makes any enemy attack a joke, and stuff like Miasma and Penetration Bullet (vs enemies Miasma can't kill) will kill enemies at the same speed regardless of their health or damage reduction.

There is no modifier it is just that the lightning tendrils can crit if they hit a weakspot

thunder step is the best, it deals a lot more overall damage and overcharged thunder is capable of infinite damage
and blossom enthusiast is an important blessing for Tao, which pretty much makes up for your secondary procs

Thunderous Arcanum specifically deals true damage, and true damage is the only form of damage that ignores the damage cap
