The main hand shotgun would have to hit every pellet to reach its full potential, and it would significantly drag down the damage potential of each spore explosion.
That and all shotguns have way worse RoF than a lot of other weapons.

If they were an effect replacement, you'd see the enemy bursting with all 3 novas at the same time.

I looked a bit closer, and you can just barely make out the Manipulation spiral, along with the Combustion and Miasma symbols. Plus the fact they explode green and orange too.

The peak damage that run was 104m in a hit which I believe was a skill hit of some kind.

It has its own balance adjustment and some control/design choices different than PC as it is a mobile version of the game.
Due to controll limits and to adjust playtimes some things are balanced / done differently
BUT
Its a team within Duoyi that makes the Mobile version so its always not that long behind actual PC content , even if it isnt 1:1 ports for them

If you think about it, it would make more sense if Suicide Device was a Strike Mode ascension, and if Energy Overload was a Fire Mode ascension.
Because you're using your primary skill less often in Strike Mode, so Energy Overload less effective there.
And you're doing close-range detonations in long-range Fire Mode, which also delays the shots too, so Suicide Device is less effective there.

generally, aim for Hell or Illusion unless you're hitting damage cap

Tho I think I could've have pushed a bit further if i didnt make the mistake of using counterviolence as the Lone Wolf S.Blessing (cos I was already constantly critting with Counter Hit + Bloody Ammo

You should try the same thing but with fire tower offhand and the Li (Firefox) Ascension that gives I creased fire damage PLUS extra fire damage against shields and armour. I've never popped harder with room clearing in one shot than with that. Was absolutely glorious.

I notice when I'm rerolling weapons it changes their ROF too sometimes even if I drop them on the ground. So I'm just asking if there are inscriptions that do this.
and the inscriptions I rolled didn't mention anything about altering ROFs.

As Walter said, the Rounds/100s stat is the result of several stats combined together, showing you how much you would be firing due to your RoF, Magazine and Reload Time stats. It's no indication for how fast you're actually firing.

You're mistaken. The whole cooldown remains at 10s. It gets shortened by 0.2s when on cooldown for each elemental effect.

Before there was the 1 run limit and you would need to work and have skill for it.
Foundry only ? Sure enough as the 30k stacks of Dual Edge and other buffs make all the weapons hit the same amount of dmg per shot, you only distinguish with Rof
if you want to challenge yourself use the slowest weapon of all
Inscriptions almost become meaningless in the grand sheme and scroll synergies as well
you only need dmg , defense and increases to your speed
Anything else is pointless
