Cuz thorny bloom is all additive so any more additive increases are mostly negligible

Semi speedrun complete- and I will say, holy hell you burn through grenades too quick. I say semi because I'm going around nabbing all the soul essence and breaking containers - but jesus man... those lack of scrolls make grenades go by so darn quick. Surprise bonus or something else like it would be great ... but now this also opens my eyes to how cheesy a run could be if someone was fortunate enough to only get paranormality as their first scroll choice for act 2 and already have penetration bullet. It'd just be a "Crit everything" game for a majority of the rooms.

That being said, there are only 3 inscriptions that fit those criteria for shotguns, 2 of them are exclusives (one on an inferior shotgun), and the last is almost nothing.

Been playing this game casually with my friends on elite and nightmare difficulty.
Then I saw the SGDQ speedrun of the game... using rainbow spore build. After copying that I have now ventured into Reincarnation, and I don't think I can go back.

But.. I am really really bad at figuring out good builds for weapons. Other than copying the rainbow + shotgun + spore build, I haven't found any weapon builds that feel good in Reincarnation.

Do anyone have suggestions for any nice weapon combos I may have missed (all of them, I have missed all of them)?

It's a poor translation.

It's more like "After reloading, lose 10% ammo in the magazine but gain +10% weapon damage every second. This effect stops at 50% or less magazine, or 1 ammo remaining. Bonus resets when reloading."

ahhh so you dont have to reload 10 times to get the max % it just goes up to the max or until you have the ammo threshold

You're sacrificing magazine ammo to get a damage bonus that you lose on reload, so it makes most guns pretty awful unless you have something like Skateboarder / Ammo Extractor / Weapons Depot so you can keep the bonus up without ever reloading

by default if you had a 10 magazine gun with no outside reload or unlimited mag or refill mag on kill stuff the max you'll get after waiting after reload is 5 stacks for 50% weapon damage

so you need inscriptions or ascensions or something to get more ammo in the mag

to get beyond 5

the bonus is very small and the penalty is quite large

it is one I would avoid unless you are already set up to use it

Weapon mastery and dimensional strike can help but it might be better to pick something like counterviolence, gambler, occult booster, as they can increase your damage more efficiently. as these blessing provide decent bonuses but those bonuses become negligable once you get other scrolls to increase weapon damage, however more consistant crits, goblets and better scrolls can push it further.

One of your friends should take enhanced weapon or whatever it is to make it easier to find the argus with the inscription

Annoyingly you can't pick them up early, if you're able to get an early argus with the inscription and the scroll that increases upgrades its best to throw the gun and scroll to your friends and get everyone to upgrade it as much as possible. the only way you're getting max damage is by getting as many different instances of damage buffs as you can

If you're speedrunning then spores is almost always the way to go

Because they're completely busted

They're also good for raw damage

But combining elements is good for things like combustion and miasma proccing

Spores works by (someone can correct me if I'm wrong) every time you hit an enemy with a weapon, they will get a certain amount of stacks based off of the number of projectiles the other weapon fires

(Example: Double caliber shoots 2 projectiles, so an enemy would get 2 stacks)

When the stacks reach 30, the enemy will take additional damage based off the other weapons damage

So say I have a rainbow and a double caliber and the double caliber does 500 dmg per pellet. Every time I hit an enemy with the rainbow, it will get two stacks of spores. At 30 the enemy will take the damage from the rainbow + the 1000 damage the double caliber deals

Works best with fast firing weapons shotguns because you gain upwards of 10 stacks per shot and you shoot very quickly

Whatever character is best for you tbh. I'm finding Tao to be the most consistent. I get the blessing that procs fatal bloom on hit and makes it proc more often. That'll carry me through act 1. Look for warlike blade and cursed mark. Get spores online in act 2 and delete everything

Something that fires as fast as possible, like an injector or smg. Your damage will be coming from fatal bloom and spores so the actual DPS from your primary doesn't matter. I like thunderclap gloves for the shock effect, radioactive gauntlets for the tracking and hitting multiple enemies. They're also hitscan

Star devourer once you get a stack of warlike blade or the ammo recovery ascension.

Oh also make sure to get your talent upgrades as soon as possible. Tao's last upgrade adds a lot of survivability

Well I was thinking of for the design a launcher type design that would act as a mini factory for the spider one as for the the sticky bombs I was kind of thinking of like a pouch next to you or something and they hand made from scrap basically not military made design.
The ammo type would be maybe large for both ideas and 7 ammo no magazine for spiders for sticky well I don't know 70. I'm basically kind coming up with this stuff of the fly really I've not had time to fully think of as much stuff as possible for this I just wanted to know what people like the most out of the idea concept.

Oh ok well I didn't really think of the other weapons really so what even the crowd control part of it is the same? What if I was to add stacks with the sticky bombs so that it does more damage to a single target the more that is on the enemy?
Also just a thing I thought of for the spiders would people think that it is a lazy weapon that steal kills easily?

Yeah the rof would be a somewhat slow. Yeah it would be high damage because like I said the spider bombs doesn't have a magazine so it generates its own over time.

Well maybe that is where the stacking idea could come into play some how so that the spiders don't do all that much on its own but if you was to stack then that is where you would get you damage. Or like I said the weapon doesn't have a magazine stored in it the weapon makes the spiders over time so you I could just say that it takes time so that you are not consonantly clears rooms full of enemies.

As Owl I cast Falling Star (impure astrohouse) and I deal 9300 damage.
At the time I have Armed Castor, holding brick
I also have star compass as well.

So we have 800 base damage +237.5% skill damage from armed castor +200% total damage from star compass
800 * 3.375 * 3 = 8100 damage
I'm 1200 damage short here

Now then, looking at the talent tree, I have 50% increase skill damage from skill enhancement

So we have 800 * 3.375 * 3 * 1.5 = 12150 total damage
that's 2850 damage too much

so IDK what is going on, or how the game calculates things out

Most similar things are added together. Most things that say "total" damage are always multiplicative.

Some descriptions however lie, even in the Chinese version.

Various things were moved around, but the biggest change is that you can no longer do reliable Armor Break builds outside of Reincarnation, but in Reincarnation it now absolutely shreds enemies.

Also, no one questions how tough Qing Yan can be.

Everyone said he sucks because being invincible means very little in a game where other heroes get so much damage you can kill every enemy before they shoot you, and especially in multiplayer where dying is a slap on the wrist.

In other words, he was the best at something which didn't matter much.

I also used Qing Yan because I found him the most fun, purely because he sucked the most and you had to actually try instead of killing everything in 1 shot.
