Humans don’t know demons exist, and therefore do not know the Netherworld also exists.

Ofc there would be a few human exceptions

Meanwhile in the Netherworld only high ranking and very powerful demons know humans exist and seek out to keep the two realms devided

well actually, "Netherworld" is quite literally another word to refer to hell, but if Nishi does intend to make it look like an actual other world, the equivalent would be named "The Welkin" (from what i studied by writing my angel au)

Like, they make up the whole Netherworld, but creatures evolved into demons

Like how if we were talking about humans, they probably created primates and such but not necessarily humans

I mostly suspect this because it’s kind of hinted that their relationship is fragile and have only temporarily made peace

Although it can be said that they can alter things about a specific demon, like how that one deity gifted Garp’s family wind magic and ‘silver fur/coat’ to hide their faces
