I'm having a similar issue. Running game and stream for an hour, and then suddenly, vts starts needing 60% of my GPU.

I found a fix by adjusting my live2d mask configuration settings under the webcam menu. By default it’s super high but if you adjust it down for your needs then you’re golden!

If there is high GPU use that means the game/vts is fighting for the VRAM.

#

Given the most intensive model I have, on a RTX 3090 (which has 24GB) Suiika's model peaks at 15%, all others at 7%. So translating this down to xx80, xx70 and xx60 means that 45% is possible on a 3060, but that model is a special case, other models with less textures would be 21%

#

in general, the GPU usage for the model should be flat after about 2 minutes.

#

if it increases by a lot suddenly, something else you are running is forcing it to unload the texture. You'd also then notice the frame rate drop probably drop in half

I fixex this issue by lowering the masks

Yes, lowering the mask quality lowers the VRAM contention, but it also lowers the layering quality, VTS will warn you if you select a mask setting that is too small for the model.

#

but you have to load the model first
