I added a video of what it was doing

  1. have you made sure it's attached to the shirt?

  2. have you opened the "configure/finetune Live 2D item"?

I put some screenshots. Try to experiment with the range of motion!

I've tried that, could the problem be in the asset itself?

#

other items I tested and they pin to the shirt

Quite possibly! It's a bit hard to tell, I work better beingg able to fiddle around with it.. Maybe you can reach out to the artist/maker of the asset?

#

I also find that some items, the place that connects is the center of the asset-- have you tried placing it lower as well? Just to sort of test it?

#

I did ask the artist today. They asked if it was pinning to the shirt.

#

I will do more testing soon. Just got home.

No rush!

quaint glade

Maybe I can load a default model and test it on that too.

Just to see yeah. If it doesn't work there either, then it's definitely with the asset

I got it to pin by making it smaller than I wanted it to be.

#

so if I get the base under here, it pined.

#

but if I make it bigger I could only pin by clicking on these X's but it doesn't pin to the model, it pins to the scene

#

basically the collision seems off. I played with the hip chastity belt and the collision boxes were outside the parts for that and its confusing

Items(PNG and Live2d Items) are pinned to the top most pinnable ArtMesh/layer that is directly underneath the cursor when you release the mouse click.
The item will move in relation to the pinned artmesh so you need to be mindful of how that specific mesh deforms/rotates/transforms.

#

At 0:48 in the vid in the opening post your mouse wasn't on your model.

quaint glade
#

It was on the jacket of the model at 0:48.

#

There’s a bug in how it’s registering meshes. In further testing I’ve had items pin without ever touching the model.

Your mouse was not.

quaint glade
#

I didn’t pin there

fiery cliff
#

Did you read what was underlined in my previous message?

quaint glade
#

I clicked on the white shirt. It didn’t pin. I clicked on the jacket and it pinned but not to the model.

#

It didn’t pin to model until I made it small enough to get it under the white shirt texture.

#

There is something not working correctly with collisions.

#

As a joke I did the hip chastity belt. I clicked outside of the item and the model and it was pining to the model.

#

That was not directly under the cursor.

You released the mouse click at 0:48, that is when it checks to attempt to pin.

none of this makes any sense

Just had a look at the asset. The person that made the asset, made it weirdly.

#

All of this empty space is probably why it's acting weird for you.

quaint glade
#

that one is just a joke thing about the TOS anyway but that would explain some of that weirdness.

The whole image, including any part that is transparent is used for the item.

quaint glade
#

its what made me suggest that it would be nice in the edit mode (for lack of better word), I'd like a toggle to see edge of invisible mesh.

PNG items, do not have a mesh like Live2D Items.
They just have a single box the size of the whole image.

the pinning still isn't clear to me but I don't think it ever will so might as well just close this ticket
