After you enabled the mic in VTS did you change the paramater inputs

Click on input and change to what you see in the pics

just find the paramater that has MouthSmile and change it to VoiceFrequencyPlusMouthSmile and
MouthOpen and change it to VoiceVolumePlusMouthOpen

then you will need to play with the sliders in the mic settings

make sure the mic settings are set to the right microphone as well

its all about tweaking stuff as everyone is different so there is no one setting for all

so yeah just keep tweaking stuff and hopefully you will get it to what you are happy with

Do the same but only use VoiceFrequency and VoiceVolume

then the tracking of the mouth will not do anything only from mic audio

sounds like a rigging issue
