AI bandits in dogfight and BVR all the same.

I think I have put 2 posts up about this in #1100085545989840966 and @fallow hound has a post on it too.

When playing Dogfight and BVR mode the AI opponents are always the same and never utilise the full range of jets, which is a shame cause I want to face the Phantom, Harrier F104 and Mig21 for example.
In my latest post in the suggestions channel I played 5 games in each dogfight and BVR and listed all the opponents I came across so please check that out.

I would love to play against all the jets available (apart from the Memes unless I select one) and even maybe the helicopters too??? So maybe a way to select which jets i have as opponents would be good. Even if it’s just a country filter selected for opponents.

Long and short is. I want to face the full fleet!!!

(Also would love to be able to select my jet for multiplayer too).

The problem is that they would be really bad because making a jet with high speed and poor maneuverability. Good in dogfight is really hard.

For me it doesn’t matter. Is the novelty of it. I can play as the phantom, harrier F104 and Mig21. Why shouldn’t I be allowed to face them.

Kk fairs. I just assumed that it was easy cause they already had stats. So they just needed the AI to fly it and they were limited by the stats and capabilities of the aircraft, and not the capability of the AI???

I think you should get more bad jets in easy difficulty ans more good ones (for example in dogfight when you play dogfight) when the difficulty seeing is higher

Maybe. But then you’d have to limit what jets you play as. For that. Feel it would end up too much like warthunder progression with it like that.

And I don’t want to have to change difficulty each time I want to face different jets

I like it being random

And I just want to face all of them randomly to the best of their capabilities.

If I want to play in easy mode then I can just change that.
Personally I like it the way it works at the moment. And just want to be able to face them all equally rather than being bias the the 5 main ones that you face

Why you need to limite it. You just get more stronger jets in dogfight when you play dogfight!

I don’t want that. Why would you play as a low level jet say a F104 and only play against the high level jets. (Which is what it’s like now). I want to be able to face anything and everything. And I want to be able to play as whatever jet I choose, exactly like it is now. I just want to be able to face more jets than the same 5 I see in every dogfight and BVR match.

Make suggestions about selecting jets you wanna fight. But it will take time if he decides to make it

I’m happy with the choice of jets as a player. That’s great. And I know doolwind is working on the new update with loadouts etc which is coming soon. I just don’t understand why we have such a good choice of planes and then I only see the same 5 that’s all…

I want to be able to face any of them. If the devs want to put an opponent selector in then that’s cool too. But we keep getting these new jets which are awesome. And I never get to play against any of them 😢

Because f22 bot settings wouldn't work on other plans. They would have difficulty to fight in dogfight especially jets that can't Turn Quickly in dogfight

He can definitely add more but not all of them

Thats fair enough. I don’t understand how they get coded. But if the AI is limited by how the Jet performs and not its performance then it should work. I think they should all be added.

And as players we have the same issue. When playing in jets such as the F104 we are limited by how slowly the jet turns. Great speed. But terrible dogfighter. Exactly the same scenario, just the other way round. And then when I play it I come up against F22 SU57 F16 and F18.

And yes I do play with all the different planes and it’s good fun. I’d just love to be able to face everything

I just think that when they get released for us they should also get released as an opponent. Surely there’s a way to make the AI limited by the jets capabilities. The jets have stats on them for us so that should be the same parameters that they are limited by for the ai.

For example in extreme difficulty he's coded to use flairs some seconds after you send missiles and turn a bit too. I think the bot aim is getting better with time. Also follow you. Some of them act better than the others idk why. Like some can dodge the hill's and others don't

I just know id love to face everything that I can fly. I know it could take some time. Of course it’s always gonna take more time. And especially even more to get it right

And for the most part the ai is great and I do really like playing around it. Like it puts up a great fight. Some issues with spawn sometimes (which you’ve already raised before) but it does a great job of flaring off my missiles and being super aggressive. Really good (it’s just annoying knowing that pretty much every plane I face is gonna be the f14 f5 f16 f18 f22 or the su57. That’s all and would love the variety.

Good sugtteiosns. I'd say this is a suggestion more than a bug but fine either way. I will do a proper pass on BVR after loadouts is done to improve and take on what you've said
