the story of this airport.
this was an airport near Kyiv which russians attempted to stole from the Ukrainians to use It for refueling cargo planes and other jets to strike the Ukrainian Capital city, many VDV troops were deployed by helicopters such as Mi8s, Mil Mi38s and Mi26s, also there were Ka52s to support them and some of those helicopters were shoot down by Ukrainians troops but this didn't stop the russians to capture the airport as the Ukrainians decided to fall back because the russians were supported by the Wagner group but before doing that, the Ukrainians destroyed the runway and the taxiways so russians couldn't use It; then the russian plan failed and the massive air strike on Kyiv never happened. during the Battle for the Hostomel airport the Soviet built Antonov 225 which was in Ukrainians hands as been destroyed by artillery fire or probably missiles/rockets fired by Ka52s and Mil Mi34s.
also the Antonov 225 was able to carry space shuttles to the perfect altitude to launch them in the space It was the biggest plane in the world for weight and cargo payload capacity in the world.
i think this airport should be in game for history lovers but because It was a symbol of glory for the Ukrainians even if It was the soviet union which designed and built It but also because it's good to see.
one more thing, this airport should come in it's destroyed form for the strategic bomber game mode and in it's functional form as operational airport when this thing will be added in game, plus the Antonov 225 should be in It's hangar in both versions of the airport.
