    When looking at something the grind progress should be updating.

That happened to me too, but it lasts less than 3 seconds, if you change sides, you destroy and you don't get a black circle. It works for me and lets me destroy. Regards

Last time it did not progress I saved the game Loaded the game to come an play again and the tipper was gone. So I think on that save I must have grinned the tipper even though I was not looking at the tipper during grinding. I think it should still be looked at in case there is a bug there.
