this seems sus, why is templates bit part of the path? Your templates should be already the root of thymeleaf lookup location, and the references relative to that

I have the website stuff in a sub folder of the resources an the base template in another sub folder as well.

If I remove it I get a different error. So this clearly indicates that it is indeed found.

I did find sth else recently though. I installed a backup from 7 days ago where its working.

Solved. I had to modify spring plugin version as well down to m1 from m2 rn.
