#DB credentials dont work anymore after deploying the app to server

i have java spring app. when i run it it connects to the database. when i deploy the app to server and use the same database credentials, i get
org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: FATAL: password authentication failed for user lms
when trying to run my app. what is wrong?
