Ive been stuck for a few hours on this assignment and was wondering if someone coildnhelp

The goal is to have the robot reach the black dot by keeping to the right and above tried almost any solution I can but I don't know how to do this problem. Can anyone help me with this? I think it's something to do with how it should behave when it reaches a wall vs corner vs blocked in on 3 sides.

Most of it was trying to follow the right wall and if it saw an opportunity it'd always turn right, when it reaches a corner and blcoked in by 3 sides it reverses and moves up one and when it got blocked by twosifes itd turn left and when it hit a wall itd jjst turn left

That was the most successful although not successful attempt

According to the directions it should be solvable if you keep right
