I have a midterm coming up on java basics, and im unable to grasp concepts like while and for loops. I understand how the loop works itself, but i dont get the initizaling of the variable and when i need a counter or a condition. overall, it makes coding hard cause i dont get the basics. any tips?

okay so i understand what a loop does, but like when im coding on my own, im unable to understand what to initialize and ehat conditions to set

that means u dont know why ur using the loop

Essentially, for loop runs as long as the initial value and the check are true. If your initial value is 0 and the check is <5, then it will run 5 times assuming the increment is +1.
