The first picture includes the task, which I think I have completed the fist part of but I don't quite understand what the second task means by ' declare number of steps in this implementation class to be used in all methods' I welcome any help, I just need a little nudge to understand quite what the task asks of me. What I have done so far is also included so if perhaps, I have not done the first one correctly, help with that is also welcome.

could number of steps be referring to a field or another part of the assignment ?
The assignment is a standalone, so it can't refer to anything that isn't provided here, although my lecturer is not english so it could be a language barrier thing
the third task (that I did not provide here) is simply to write a file that tests these methods so can't refer to that
number of steps could refer to a field (that needs to be declared) that is updated each time a method is called.
oh yes, I see what you mean now
does that mean that I just have to give the methods like an int argument that can be entered to move that amount of steps?
yeah but not the methods but the class itself.
ah, right I see so just defining a field number of steps
well you did say that hah
my reading comprehension is bad
thank you
