you mentioned "linux" but showed an apple keyboard from probably eastern european locale, so probably it is a driver issue with linux

JavaScript isn't Java and these key codes aren't standardized.
But yeah, I usually get the impression that Java's KEvent.getKeyCode() is kinda obsolete. Try whether getExtendedKeyCode() gives more helpful results.
If not, I guess Java is failing to register the input correctly in your setup

Looks like your linux system sees that keyboard input as weird, and defines a layout to make it work anyway, but with extended codes
