Hi, you need 4 basic modules, and some of advanced modules need basic modules to be installed.

About duplicate modules, they go in inventory. Check your inventory, to see if module is there. You can try to use it, and if it's not duplicated, it will be applied. If it's duplicate, you will get gems in exchange.
