@whole perch we had such things people didn't like Saturday KE. Then there was alliance duel, full on kill against other servers for a while day. That went away.
Yes, not 100% of people will be online at one time, and no one likes having their base burned and ported while they're offline. Once a week, its easy to forget to shield.
Thats why I suggested it be like warzone though. So its completely voluntary. No one gets hit without putting troops in to play. You dont lose your whole base in one attack from a whale.
Only losing units 1 out of 14 days when svs comes around, isnt very exciting. Yet 4 weeks of EL gets tiring. So wondered about a balance point between those extremes.
Maybe rewards are based on attacking players with a higher CP than yours?
And successful defense.
So players aren't mowed down, you only risk what youre willing to lose. And maybe its attractive for the challenge?
Just some thoughts, I've never programmed a game.
