** Zhen**
is a navy
only supporter hero. The reason that Zhen falls under the supporting category rather than main source of damage is due to the HP Enhancement, this is of course doesn’t belittle of this hero’s trigger damage
. In short, this hero can still be treated as a main source of damage in addition to another trigger hero
.
## Professor Critic 👨 vs Zhen

💎 Preparation Skills:
The HP enhancement of 65% ** Zhen**
provides is rather huge and of a great improvement to that of Crimson’s and Maplelyn’s
. On the other hand, this hero’s preparation skill lacks a very important skill when compared to both Crimson and Maplelyn, both heroes have an armor type Heavy/light of 2 stacks at their preparation skills
. The importance of these two types of armors lies in the initial high durability of the naval units against either strong trigger attacks like Maximo’s
or Combo attacks like Kai’s
. Both heroes offer a great protection for first round which allows naval units to reflect damage from such shocking instant attacks
. Of course the difference in HP enhancement might help in overcoming such effect and the fact that this HP lasts for the entire battle might offer sustainability, but we know that having high HP without shield protection from trigger damage is not effective as much
. Another reason for the importance of armors is that Stromoy
increases the damage of naval units with her silent precision effect which is one of many harmonic effects of naval march
.
Active Skill:
The active skill of Zhen is actually quite the replica of Crimson with minor differences. As starters ** Zhen** has a chance of triggering 130% x 3 trigger skills for each **Naval **
unit regular attacks. In addition to that she increases the damage of her skill attacks by 10% ** if the targeted units have abnormal status, this is second to Crimson’s ability as his skill damage is increased by 20% and for every abnormal status instead
. Initially, her trigger damage might seem to be less or equal to Crimson’s with ** (130 + 10%) (Debilitation (From Layla) or Vulnerability) x 3 = 420% 💁 , while Crimson’s reaches (110 + 40% (Debilitation (From Layla) + Vulnerability) x 3) = 450%. Yet the beauty of her abnormal status boost is that she only considers the existence of it rather than the number or types. On the other hand, on the contrary to Crimson and that might not be noticed Zhen skill may only be triggered by Naval units meaning that to have high trigger rate, players might need to sacrifice the Encirclement units which is by itself a huge con of this hero
.
The above ☝🏻 calculation is for Zhen vs Crimson at basic levels (without exclusive skill level 5 and 7). The exclusive skill level 5 changes the factors a lot for each of the two heroes creating a gap between them, her skill is boosted by additional 20% meaning that each of the 3 skills receive additional boost of 20% bringing a total of 160% x 3 = 480, yet Crimson adds another skill trigger of same damage bringing the total to 4 x 150 = 600
. This gap is reduced at exclusive 7, Zhen increases her skill by an additional 20% and adds two more skill attacks bringing the total to 180 x 5 = 900, while ** Crimson** adds also 2 more skill attacks and bringing the total to ** 6 x 150 = 900**. This of course assuming that all targeted units are under abnormal status
.
The going back and forth between Zhen
and Crimson is rather confusing to which hero to use for the main naval march. They are both quite close to each other regardless the exclusive skill level
. However, there were few points that will help us determine the outcome for which hero will take the spot in the meta march
.
- Naval
march definitely needs the heavy armor or even the light armor especially when paired with Stromoy
. - Being forced to not use the encirclement damage increase and decrease for increasing Zhen’s trigger rate will definitely be a factor on the overall damage of the march
even though Zhen offers higher ** Vulnerability ** damage than Crimson.
Thus, Crimson remains the best suited hero for the main supporter position in Naval
march
.
- Note:
The above calculation was simplified and actually is slightly different than presented. However, it won’t change much and the overall conclusion will remain intact
