First, I want to preface this is no way intended to be a critique, or anything negative in any way. My intention is to lend some constructive suggestions that may not be on the radar.

I would kindly ask that no one reply to this post, there is no need for any criticism, griping or to air grievances, this is to me a very serious topic and I would only ask that the devs reply if they choose to do so, so we can keep focused if this is gonna be a constructive conversation. I ask if want to show support emote a light bulb and maybe help get this post some attention, if u can emote it that is lol idk

My main suggestion is to start putting more focus on trading. I say this because the reality for this game is not everyone plays the card game aspect, but every single person collects cards and trades. The lack of focus on trading is kinda evident by the fact there isn’t even a category for me to select regarding trading or collecting while making this post!

I humbly feel the player base has declined since the trade bar issues of last year so my hope is by lending some of my opinions, we can turn this around and I’m sure u, the devs, want this app to do its best just like all of us, your user base. So with this said, here we go.

  • Remove paid trading (ads on mobile and tokens on steam). Regardless the revenue Im sure it’s not bringing in a substantial amount for u, the devs. Especially if my inclination to the player base decline is correct.

Doing this has the potential to get word spreading, maybe garner some hype and even draw in new and even potentially retired players. We can all agree, the bigger the player base, the better potential for income, as many traders were also spending.

(More in my own reply due to character limit)

The loss of ad revenue has the potential to be offset by implementing simple and common re occurring in game purchases like many apps these days have. Here’s a few examples:

A weekly/monthly daily supply drop, where u buy one package and each day for a week or 30 days u get either gems, coins, or some limited cards. Small realistically priced packages like these are commonly bought just due to long term overall value.

Bring back the battle pass but don’t lock any new cards behind it, i feel it was fine the way it was when they first came out as I recall it anyways lol.

If possible, and in my opinion, revert the trade bar back to the way it was before everything went down a year ago. This will safe guard the community as a whole if red trades couldn’t be sent and would honestly probably fix some of the wild trade economy that is so prevalent nowadays. Many including myself have said, there was never anything wrong with it to begin with. This I feel will at least make trading safer, and tbh more fair and realistic from a heavy traders standpoint.

Again I feel if we take a serious look into focusing on the trading aspect of this trading card game, it only benefits every single one of us. You as game developers want us users to be as engaged on the app as possible, some of what I mentioned should garner increased player engagement, and businesses know, the more engaged the client, the more likely they are to spend here and there.

I would counter this by saying the only reason I engage with the trading aspect of this game is to get more cards with which to actually play the game and i imagine the same is true for a lot of others

Reverting the trade bar also sort of forces values to conform to whatever its programmed to believe is higher value which often doesnt reflect the actual value something has
