This thread is for World Trigger cards using the Imaginary album. World Trigger is an anime and manga series I will sing the praise of till I die because it is that good imo, so I have brought it to CUE and attached the collection icon I'm using for it. In doing so I have also brought a new mechanic and resource with it, the same resource and power from the universe, Trion (the other attached image)
The explanation of how trion works in CUE is the first comment in this thread

None of these cards will contain spoilers for the series. All ability names will either be common knowledge/general information, or in terms of characters will be in regard to their personalities, skills, relationships, etc.

I have created several tags for this collection, of which some sound similar and there are also layers to some of them, so I have created a spreadsheet I will continue to update that anyone can view to understand what tags are on what cards

How trion works in CUE:
Trion is a resource like energy that gets spent. However unlike energy, it's limited in supply and is not regenerated each turn. Making it in surplus in early rounds and scarce in later rounds
Also unlike energy, trion is not necessarily even between players and both players in a match can have a different starting amount of trion as your trion count is not determined by a set of league/casual rules. Attached is an image of what this would look like in game

Your trion count is determined by your player level. As you level up in CUE, your trion count increases. While this does put lower level players at a disadvantage, it's not a disadvantage that has as much impact if you understand how to fully optimize your deck to use the resource which allows low level players who are better at deck building to optimize their trion count for full effect while lackluster deck builders waste most of theirs. Attached is an image of gaining trion as you level up.
Below is the breakdown of each levels trion count, these numebrs were based on the following assumptions:

  1. 45 cards are being played over the course of a full 5 round game
  2. the highest trion cost of an ability is 8 trion (bar some exceptions) totaling to 360 trion needed if all 45 cards have an ability that costs 8 trion

Newbie - 20
Rookie - 30
Scout - 40
Journeyman - 50
Traveler - 60
Seeker - 70
Ranger - 80
Explorer - 90
Pioneer - 100
Adventurer - 120
Pathfinder - 140
Trailblazer - 160
Master - 180
Master Scout - 190
Master Journeyman - 200
Master Traveler - 210
Master Seeker - 220
Master Ranger - 240
Master Explorer - 260
Master Pioneer - 280
Master Adventurer - 300
Master Pathfinder - 320
Master Trailblazer - 340
Grand Master - 360

Trion is spent using card abilities. These can be any types of abilities found in CUE, and will say the amount of trion needed to use the ability. If you don't have the trion to spend or meet a condition, the card can be played but the ability won't activate

With that being said, welcome to the Neighborhood

The Neighborhood is another dimension in which Neighbors originate from. Neighbors are simply other humans like you and me. The Neighborhood is described as a sea of darkness filled with neighbor nations/planet nations/countries that move through it. Many nations reside within it including Earth, unlike the other nations though, Earth is the only one which doesn't need trion or triggers to function. As ways to get trion and triggers, nations invade each other. Earth is actually the largest nation in the neighbourhood with the rest ranging between the size of small to large cities. A city like New York City would actually be a fairly large (and powerful) nation in the neighbourhood After an invasion of Earth, the military organization called Border officially went public and established itself

Border consists of the main headquarters as well as multiple branches. The organization consists of its directors and 3 divisions of staff:
combatants
operators
engineers

As mentioned Border consists of its directors, and 3 divisions of staff.

So introducing the directors

Netsuki - public relations
An alright guy, though not the most likeable. Has the interests of the organization at heart

Karasawa - external affairs and Business
A very likeable guy, doesn't have much of a thing for combat, has taken a liking Osamu

Sawamura - Assistant Headquarters director
A young woman in a position of power that is full of men (good for her), she used to be an attacker (type of combatant) like Shinoda

Shinoda - Defense Commander (and headquarters director)
A respected and strong leader, a skilled fighter (THE most powerful with a basic trigger), was apart of Border before going public, doesn't have issues with neighbours and just cares for people's and the city's safety

Kido - Chief Commander
part of Border before going public as a combatant, has resentment to neighbours, a serious and strict man

Kinuta - Research and Development
a smart but grumpy old man in charge of trigger research and development and the head of the engineer agents

Terashima - headquarters chief engineer (1 of, there is another)
a not very expressive person

The engineers of Border create triggers to be used by combatants

Border's combatants are assigned a position based on the triggers they choose to use, and each position is defined by combat range. These triggers are the base triggers that all agents select from to use in combat as the main source of damage. Your positions in Border are as follows:

Attacker - close range combat
Gunner/Shooter - mid range combat
Sniper - long range combat

The 3 attacker triggers:
Scorpion - a light weight blade with the ability to unsheathe it from anywhere on your body but is very fragile and breaks easily when used to defend against the other 2 blades
Kogetsu - a well balanced blade that has no real downsides but can only be unsheathed in 1 way, its the most popular as its the most balanced
Raygust - a defensive attacker trigger that has a blade form and a shield form. The shield form has no offensive ability but bolsters high defense where an agent doesn't need to use a second shield trigger. The blade form is also good for defending and has good damage but is not as strong as the other 2 blades. It's the least popular among attackers

The 4 gunner/shooter triggers:
Asteroid - powerful bullets with no unique attributes
Meteor - slightly weaker bullets that explode on impact
Hound - bullets with homing capabilities, the homing can be adjusted by the agent during combat
Viper - bullets that follow a preset path. This path is determined by the agents mental image
These triggers have 2 forms - firearms and trion cubes. Gunner = firearm, Shooter = trion cube

The 3 sniper triggers:
Egret - a well balanced sniper rifle with no downsides, its the most popular as a result
Lightning - a fast firing, high penetration, but weak rifle
Ibis - a slow firing but powerful rifle, its designed for fighting large enemies

#

Composite Bullets are a level of complexity only accessible to gunners and shooters. These are bullet types which are a combination/fusion of 2 bullet triggers creating a new bullet which has the capabilities of its parts. Like regular bullets, these can come in the form of trion cubes or firearms. In the case of firearms for gunners, the firearm must be set to only firing the specific composite bullets and cannot be used for another bullet trigger. However, in the case of trion cubes, the agent doesn't have a specific trigger for the composite bullets. Instead they create the 2 trion cubes of the 2 triggers that make up the composite bullet and literally physically fuse the cubes together to create the composite bullet

#

Gimlet: A combination of 2 Asteroid triggers granting enhanced penetration
Fusion Ingredients: 33 Asteroid, 2 Chainmail, 33 Asteroids

Hornet: A combination of 2 Hound triggers granting better homing capabilities than the regular Hound, curving at sharper angles
Fusion Ingredients: 10 Hound, 34 Bloodhound, 20 Greyhound

Salamander: a combination of Hound and Meteor triggers granting homing bullets that explode on impact
Fusion Ingredients: 6 Hound, 6 Meteor, 4 Spotted Salamander

Tomahawk: a combination of Viper and Meteor triggers granting exploding bullets able to move along preset trajectories
Fusion Ingredients: 2 Viper, 8 Meteor, 17 Hawking Radiation

(had to break it like this because the whole message together somehow had blocked content)

There are 2 more types of Border triggers: Defense and Optional

Defense triggers provide a form of protection, only 2 exist in Border: Shield and Escudo
(Raygust would fall into this category if it didn't also have it's blade form)
Shield is a staple trigger of Border agents and has become compulsory to have. Most agents will use 2 shield triggers unless they have a Raygust in which the Raygust acts as a replacement shield and they don't need to have a second shield trigger
Escudo creates a large durable physical barrier. The trigger is outdated and uses a lot of trion so most agents don't use it

Optional triggers are triggers with unique abilities that agents can choose to use for different purposes
Bagworm is a staple compulsory trigger like shield used by most agents. While active it hides the user from enemy radar
Chameleon turns the user invisible to the eye but not to radar (Bagworm can't be active at the same time). Chameleon also has the downside of being unable to activate other triggers while invisible
Grasshopper creates physical bounce pads which launch any physical object it comes into contact with and then disappears
Idaten uses preset pathways and moves the user along those paths at a speed so high that the human brain cannot comprehend what is occurring while moving at that speed.
Spider is a wire trigger. It creates wires which can be used to support allies and trip up opponents. The wires can also be rigged with a meteor for an explosive trap
Teleporter teleports the user a few dozen meters in the direction they are looking

Lead Bullet converts trion into weights which slow and immobilize targets. These only form when making solid contact, making the bullet pass through pure trion constructs, but this makes the bullets non-destructible. It's the one trigger that is made for gunners but is functional for snipers, provided the user has enough trion to make it function

Now that all of the Border triggers and roles of the agents are understood, I can begin to introduce Border squads

A Border squad must consist of at least 3 people and can have at most 5 people. Each squad always has 1 Operator, and must have at least 2 combatants of any position with a squad being able to have 4 combatants at most. Each squad also has a captain who's name is the name of the squad (unless its a Branch squad in which case they take the name of the branch and a number) Border squads have ranks assigned to them and they participate in "rank wars" to try and reach the higher ranks. Squads are assigned either B-rank or A-rank. B-rank is the main bulk of Border squads as this is where they are placed after moving up from C-rank (the trainees) with the A-rank squads being made of the elite agents

With that said, allow me to introduce only known members of the Suzunari branch, forming the squad "Suzunari-1"

Ko Murakami is 18 years old and is Border's #4 attacker. Ko has a side effect of enhanced sleep learning. Side effects are extra or heightened abilities a person might gain if they have a high trion level. Another example is an A-rank agent has enhanced hearing. Ko's enhanced sleep learning allows his brain to absorb almost 100% of what he's learned and experienced with a short nap

Tachi Betsuyaku is 16 years old and is a sniper. He's optimistic and clumsy in and out of combat. But he's proven to be quite perceptive on the battlefield and has helped his team strategize by coming up with unique ideas

Tatsuya Kuruma is 19 years old, gunner, and captain of Suzunari-1. He's from a rich family, the ones who donated the Suzunari building to Border, yet he's humble, kind, and considerate

Yuka Kon is 18 years old and Suzunari-1s operator. Operators aren't in combat but at the base and through a computer, can relay intel among other responsibilities. Kon is a considerate, no-nonsense person who's always annoyed with Tachi's clumsiness

Time to meet Tamakoma's A-rank agents

Reiji is the 21 year old captain of Tamakoma-1, and is the first perfect all-rounder in Border. An all-rounder must excel with attacker and gunner triggers, he however also excels with sniper triggers. He is the only agent capable of equipping up to 14 triggers at one time. One trigger he equips his personal trigger, Full Arms. Full Arms allows the user to use 6 triggers at one time instead of 2 by creating mechanical arms that extend off the users back. Due to all this, it burns through trion fast

Konami is 17 years old, is Borders #3 attacker, and the main attacker for Tamakoma-1. She is naive s Jin and Karasuma like to tease her. Her fighting style focuses on pure firepower and its noted that her movement style reflects that of Neighbors rather than other Border agents. Her personal trigger allows for this unique fighting style. Her personal trigger are 2 Sogetsus. Sogetsu looks like a hybrid of a knife and a hatchet which are powerful on their own, but they have the ability to connect 2 of them together to form a giant battle axe to increase the firepower even further

Karasuma the 16 year old all-rounder and final combatant of Tamakoma-1. He also works part time at a grocery store. His nickname, Torimaru, is derived from the Japanese spelling of his surname as it means Crow Species and looks similar to Torimaru which means Bird Species. His personal trigger is Geist. Geist allows the user to destabilize their trion body to focus trion to specific triggers or body parts through Shifts, this causes trion leakage and forces a Bail Out after ~3 minutes

Yuri is the 24 year old operator for Tamakoma-1 and is related to the Branch Director

Jin is the 19 year old solo A-rank agent of Tamakoma. He has the side effect of foresight which allows him to see possible futures of a person he is looking at. He also is the co-creator of the Scorpion trigger with Tamakoma's head engineer. He is 1 of the 4 protagonists of the series

#

Now meet the other squad of the Tamakoma Branch: Tamakoma-2

Chika Amatori is a 14 year old sniper and is 1 of the 4 protagonists. She has the highest trion levels ever seen and 2 side effects. A single side effect is rare, having 2 is unheard of, and the 2 she has pair amazingly together. Her first side effect lets her detect any hostile trion signatures, her second allows her to conceal her presence from said hostiles by calming and emptying her mind. As a child she has been targeted by Neighbors for her high trion and these have allowed her to survive on her own. Because of her high trion she turns the Ibis, Meteor, and Hound triggers into weapons of mass destruction, but she won't shoot people if she doesn't have to. Chika is not the central focal protagonist of the 4 but she has a central goal that the others are simply helping her towards

Hyuse is a 16 year old Neighbor and attacker who joined the squad after it formed, and comes from Aftokrater. He was born with above average trion that's been enhanced by Aftokrater tech. He trained in swordsmanship from the age of 8 and is a great tactician like Osamu. He also has extensive knowledge about several Neighbor Nations and a deep understanding of the ins and outs of trion

Osamu is a 15 year old shooter and is 1 of the 4 protagonists. He has the lowest trion of Border combatants. Low trion people will join as operators/engineers, he joined as a combatant to help Chika. He little combat experience, and makes up for it with intelligence, battle and negotiation tactics

Shiori is a 17 year old operator of Tamakoma, being the operator for both squads when Yuri's gone. Before she was at Headquarters and was the operator for Kazama Squad

Yuma is a 15 year old Neighbor and attacker and 1 of the 4 protagonists. He comes from Calvaria and has a side effect of detecting lies, and has many years of combat skills from the Neighborhood. He came to Japan for his own purpose which didn't pan out, he stayed to help Chika

#

Introducing the last members of the Tamakoma Branch:

Michael Cronin is a Neighbor and the Chief Engineer of the branch. He Co-designed the Scorpion trigger when approached by Jin about designing a new attacker trigger

Takumi Rindo is the branch director for Tamakoma Branch and is one of Border's Top Brass. He is Yuri's uncle

Yotaro Rindo is a 5-year old child resident of Tamakoma who has a side effect of talking to animals, this is based on the animal's intelligence level and typically only allows him to get "Yes" and "No" answers

Replica is Yuma's guardian who is a muti-purpose trion solider (I will explain these more later) Replica accompanies Yuma to Mikado City and had accompanied Yuma and his father on their journeys throughout the Neighborhood. The base understanding that you need to know is that he's a robot essentially

#

We've now meet all the members of Border's Branches, time to head back over to Headquarters, starting with the A-ranks

Meet Tachikawa Squad, A-rank #1

Tachikawa is 20 years old and is Borders #1 attacker and best solo combatant, having been taught his swordsmanship by Director Shinoda, making his one of the strongest members of Border. He wields 2 kogetsu triggers (paired with a senku each) and, aside from Director Shinoda, is the best user of the trigger. He and Jin are friendly rivals, and Tachikawa has won more duels which led to Jin becoming the co-creator of the scorpion trigger since Tachikawa just has better swordsmanship with kogetsu over Jin

Izumi is 17 years old and is Border's #2 shooter and regarded as one of Border's best supporting combatants with his strength in cornering opponents. He is a master in using all forms of bullet types, with specialties in Viper and Asteroid. He is 1 of 3 people who have a unique mind to alter Viper's trajectories on the fly (the others are Hyuse and an agent I'll get to later). Izumi is also the inventor/discoverer of composite bullets

Yuiga is a 16 year old gunner and the son of Border's biggest sponsor (meaning he's a nepo baby). A-rank agents are notably stronger than the B-rank and C-rank agents, of the A-ranks he is the weakest and is even weaker than several B-rank agents. When he joined Border he basically demanded to be put into A-rank so Top Brass put him on Tachikawa squad where they bully him

Yuu is an 18 year old operator, being one of the best operators thanks to being very skilled in both mechanical operation and parallel processing. Unlike the other 2, she doesn't bully Yuiga and plays mediator when Izumi and Yuiga are fighting. In Tachikawa Squad's room in Headquarters, she has a collection of video games and consoles that Tachikawa sometimes plays with her and she is very good at them

#

Introducing Border's A-rank #2 Squad: Fuyushima Squad

Fuyushima is a 29 year old trapper for Border who originally joined as an engineer. The trapper position in Border seems similar to that of an Operator, in regard to the fact that they are meant to support allies on the field. This is done by lying trap triggers which affect the enemy or supporting trap triggers for allies. This is done through a trappers, Switchbox (think of it similar to hacking). Since he was a former engineer he has extensive knowledge about triggers

Toma is an 18 year old and Border's #1 sniper and 4th best solo combatant. He is the only agent on his squad who is always on the battlefield. Despite Border having 3 types of snipers, he only uses the Egret making him the best user with that trigger. He has spent so much time with sniper triggers that he is able to predict the trajectory of a bullet from a sniper even when someone else is shooting. His accuracy is very high and he almost never misses a shot

Maki is the 17 year old operator for Fuyushima squad. She is the one who recruited Fuyushima from being an engineer to a combatant and forming the squad. She is known to be full of herself, condescending, etc. and many agents do not like working with her

#

Introducing Border's A-rank #3 Squad: Kazama Squad

Kaho Mikami is the 16 year old operator that replaced Shiori Usami as the operator for Kazama Squad. She is the older sister of 3 siblings who acts as a mother figure to them, though she does wish sometimes she could be the one being taken care of for once

Ryo Utagawa is a 16 year old all rounder. Unlike Kazama and Kikuchihara, Utagawa is a friendly person who often ends up apologizing for their behaviour. He is a skilled combatant that specializes like the rest of his squad in stealth combat

Shiro Kikuchihara is a 16 year old attacker. He is a more reserved person due to his side effect of enhanced hearing and has a habit of bad-mouthing people. It's rare to find him talking to someone that isn't from his squad (Osamu is one of the few people he takes an interest in). His side effect of enhanced hearing is not super human, rather only being 5-6 times better than the average human ear. However his side effect is able to pinpoint exact sources of sound and can provide information like weight and material of objects, because combatants can share senses with operator input, he's able to share his side effect with his squad to gain an advantage in combat which allows even more advantage since they specialize in stealth combat

Soya Kazama is a 5'2" 21 year old attacker and the captain of Kazama squad. He is a calm and reserved person, only speaking when it's important and can be harsh sometimes but its in favour of getting to the heart of the matter. He is Border's 2nd best attacker and 3rd best combatant overall and speacilizes in stealth combat like his squad. Because of his height, both other Border members and Neigbours alike mistake him for a child

#

Meet the A-rank #4 Border squad: Kusakabe Squad

Kusakabe is the 15 year old operator and captain of the squad. She initially started out as a gunner but after losing a match to Kitora she then switched to an operator

Uno is a 17 year old sniper. He has a side effect called Precise Bodily Control which allows for near total control over every part of his body, giving him the unique ability to run while sniping. He has yet to talk despite being seen several times on the Manga, its unclear whether this is tied to his side effect or something else entirely

Midorikawa is a 14 year old attacker. He is often described as a puppy for his personality along with his wanting to show off, meaning he's very energetic but he is a naturally talented fighter. He has an erratic fighting style compared to other agents like Kazama. His signature move is called Pinball, which involves treating ones body like a pinball and bouncing off of several bounce pads created by Grasshopper to get swift strikes on the opponent

Saeki is a 17 year old all-rounder will speak his mind, especially when it comes to the cooking skills of other agents (often to his enthusiasm). He carries a serious but relaxed demeanor

Satomi a 17 year old and is Border's best Gunner. He treats his Gunner triggers like an extension of his body. Satomi doe snot use Shooter triggers as he panics and cannot control the bullets pathing. Also he himself admits to being a fan of another agent, Ninomiya
