Hey guys, i just got a breadboard and trying to make a LED light.

I got the power supply module in, and have added a resistor of 330ohm from the + rail to 9J.

Then an LED whose short leg is in 9i, and long leg is in 10i. Then a jumper cable going from 10j to the - rail.

However for some reason its not lighting up, have tried 4 LEDs of different color and nothing.

Just wondering if maybe im doing something wrong🤔

Hi! Thanks for posting, but I notice a couple of issues:

  1. Off-topic: This appears to be a hardware/electronics question rather than a programming question. This forum is for coding help. You might have better luck on an electronics forum like r/electronics or Arduino forums.

  2. Missing details: Your post has no content body. To get help, please provide:

    • A photo or diagram of your circuit
    • Component specifications (LED type, resistor values, power source)
    • What you've already tried
    • Any error messages or unexpected behavior

If you have a programming question related to microcontroller code (Arduino, embedded systems, etc.), feel free to repost with your code and the specific issue you're facing!

Does that rail have power? Is your diode in backwards?

ye the diode was in backwards

i thought the longer side was meant to face negative but turns out it should face positive

@edgy sentinel these breadboards go well with arduinos right?
