How does a game like this need 4gb vram minumum?

Hey guys, just curious because my gf doesnt have enough vram for this game here https://store.steampowered.com/app/1876930/Saloon_Simulator/

It says minimum 4gb vram, but im super curious why that is. Especially since Red dead redemption 2 is using minimum 2gb vram. From what i know the game was made in unreal engine.

Do you guys think the developer just said screw it, or is there something about this game that would make it more vram heavy (like twice of RDR2).

Curious to hear your thoughts

or is it that he is just reserving 4gb upfront?

or loading the whole game into vram at once?
