SSDs are faster, more durable, more compact, quieter, and consume less energy
so ssd are better
Ive heard that IF a ssd breaks that the contents of it wont be able to recover
However with hard drive its recoverable
i did not know that
Not sure tbh
but SSDs more durable
ssd?
Gaming, work , homework and ect
I would get the Samsung 980 PRO SSD PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 - 1TB
i dont have it but it is good
Is it good for gaming only or everything?
or i would go for the WD Black SN850X PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 Heatsink - 2TB
im not that smart at pc
btw
Oh alr, thanks for your help anyways, its greatly appreciated
ssds are less likely to fail if they're dropped or hit or shook around. they also don't have any moving parts which means there will be no mechanical failure. SSDs are also quicker because there is no moving parts. I only use HDDs for long term storage, something I don't touch for long periods of time but I want to keep. While SSDs you want to use for more frequent things, like OS or games and such
now there are two types of SSDs, we got the 3.5inch ones, and we got the NVME SSD drives, now NVME don't require any cables, its just plugged into the motherboard, but in my experience they're less friendly to get out and such if you need to disconnect it. NVME SSDs are faster then 3.5 inch SSDs and they got a bigger bandwidth, 3.5 SSDs only go from 500mb/s to 1.5gb/s while NVME SSDs go to like 6gb/s i think... I do not remember, the just faster though. I use a samsung evo 860 1tb 3.5inch SSD and it works great and I have had no issues with it. Highly recomend it for users who are on a budget.
NVME SSDs also tend to be a little more spendy then 3.5 inch SSDs
