I have been working with multiple rust web server frameworks and libraries, and I think I'm comfortable enough with these tools to make a website for myself. I don't really know what I want to try and make but I definitely want somewhere I can log my projects and things I learn and release them to the public, and somewhere I can put some info about me for perhaps a future employer. So maybe part portfolio/blog?? I'd like some feedback on my ideas and any suggestions are appreciated,
#How should I design my website? (just need some suggestions)

By the way im planning on working with axum for my web server, I was also looking into actix-web as an alternative, which i do think is the best framework I find it to be a little more bloaty and verbose than axum and I will probably end up using it for more performance oriented projects since its the fastest.
I am also a web developer but I don't work with rust so I can't tell anything about that if you use php css or anything else then I can help
im just using rust as the web server, i understand how to do that. I am awful with coming up with good ideas
for this website specifically
You know what maybe I can help but you will have to give me some time ok
Check out pinterest, awwwards and other similar sites for inspiration.
Put together a Pinterest board of everything you like and you can use it as inspo.
Designing is just as important as dev and an entire skill in itself so you might want to learn the basics of that. As you can imagine having someone who knows how to design decide "im going to make my own website" and then building it poorly is just as bad.
As you build up that repository of ideas and experience in your mind you'll rely on inspiration less but it just helps you avoid reinventing the wheel.
Just to add to the list, check out Dribbble
And you can use a free website like Figma to design your website. It's better to design a website first instead of coming up with a design on the fly.
That's the one i couldn't remember 😁 that too is good yeah
I didn't know about awwwards, but that's a cool name
This is the best advice ive gotten thank you
