Looks like a ranging market @bitter stag

As they are confirmation signals they are best for trending markets, and they aren’t meant for entries exactly. They are meant to help confirm your analysis/trades.

The dashboard state would be ranging

The directional matrix would imply ranging

As you can see the reversal zone is good at ranging markets and catches that move to the cent

A signal is confirmed only once the candle is closed. Meaning a signal could appear on your chart but is not confirmed until that candle is closed and the next candle has started.

Our automated Discord bots will never notify you on any signal until the candle has closed and confirmed it. If you're adding alerts for Lux signals in TradingView - make sure to select "Once per bar close".

Confirmation signals are affected by both the sensitivity and agility settings, increasing these two settings will allow the trader to take decisions regarding longer term price movements, however, agility is specifically designed to filter out signals occurring during ranging markets, with a higher value removing signals that occurred in ranging markets thus returning more strong signals as a result.

Although we provide suggested settings by default (12, 26) there are no "best settings" that we can mention because trading is very personal per asset and timeframe.

@limpid hollow so the #695668653869236433 scanner only considers signals made during normal market hours of 9:30-4:00. The discord scanner here will not alert you pre-market & after hours. As long as you have real time data from TradingView- then I don’t see why you couldn’t use Lux during those times. Just remember that the lower volume may skew price and result in more bad signals. I may be wrong on that- I’ve never traded PM before, just my thought on it. The price of a stock is irrelevant as far as Lux is concerned. The only thing I don’t like about penny stocks is that it seems like price is too erratic to do anything intraday. Suppose if you’re holding though you could do something. As far as “how” to choose them, that’s where your due diligence comes in. You’ve got to search for the stocks you like and set alerts accordingly

@blazing vortex Higher TF represent longer term and larger price variations, it is common to look at higher tf to filter out potential false signals given on a lower tf. In general you will get alerts on lower tf before or at the same time of those occurring on higher tf.

I looking at longer term trading. When an alert goes off, does the candle have to close before the alert is sent? Ex. Does 1 day alert go off at the end of the day, therefore no time to place a trade that day?

@unborn forum That isn’t a Lux issue, but a TradingView issue. TV doesn’t allow you to save settings per ticker but instead allows you to save settings per chart layout. Consider upgrading your TV account - on Black Friday they’ll run a 60% sale

The alternative may be the issue you are using let's say "Predictave range" on a higher value to it's trying to scale in the lines and candles into the same area

Yes - window initially presents as if it will be 'to scale', but then condenses as Lux loads (I have taken off the predictive lines to test that) - I have the upper / lower reversal bands on, so is it trying to scale to accommodate that (on the same premise as the predictive lines) - looks like it might be that that's causing the issue then - how does everyone else get around it? @indigo cradle

Admin can you confirm why $SPY on the 5min chart has different signals? Both have extended hours on, both set to 12,26. The data is streamed from different exchanges but I want to confirm that this is in fact causing it. One is ARCA (real time) & the other is CBOE (delayed). For the alerts, for things like entering and exiting channels, are there any variables that can be set in the alert text?

Ideally, what I'm looking for is some kind of alert that tells me when the ticker enters one of the support zones, or the indicator in the middle - since that could possibly inform my trade strategy

The specific alert criteria are not dynamic, and wasn't sure how to include the proper variables in the alert itself

Should be possible if you knew the title of each plots, for the EQ cloud try the following placeholder {{plot("Cloud-1")}} for the plot equal to Cloud-1, for other support and resistances you would do the same, just put the title of the plot with title "Cloud-1", when it comes to compare the value of a plot with the price you would need to get both the price value and plot value and subtract them, so you must do this outside tradingview.

@sage zealot not sure what is the problem, I am using replay mode and its showing properly, I use the same settings as yours. Could be a replay mode related error.
