Honestly I know it's not the answer you want but there is no best way. Some scalpers here like using the signals and confirming them using their own methods. Just me personally really likes the zones and think they have a lot of value for scalping ranging markets

If you were able to scalp before Lux with success, just use what you used to do and use confirmation signals to confirm

Gecko is correct. It’s best to use the indicators you’ve been using on tradingview and strategy. But use additional lux indicators to comfort and guide you

I havent even used it yet as ive been working during trading hours, from what i can tell, this will back up your trade by sending a signal. The buy / sell alone seem to be weaker signals. The Strong seem to have more accuracy. I have added the 9 EMA and the VWAP to my charts. I has it set up on 5 minute to see how the day went, and then went with the 3 minute. The 3 minute seemed to be a little better for what im doing.

On trading view when setting up your alerts should you set once per closed bar (the way I have it set) or once per bar. I am asking as the alerts are really delayed from the trigger but the time is coming through close to the alert? Super strange. @sand atlas Of course, no problem. I have two lux algo’s applied to the chart, plus the oscillator, equalizer bands, support/resistance filter to 1. On one chart I just use the default settings for the signals and the other I use 5,2,20. I also use the reversal zones sometimes when scalping.

@sand atlas also use 5.25 sens and 1.97 agility, smoothing always 20. Other one is 4.5 and 1.96.

Use 5 minute to scalp, 1 minute for entry or 15 minute and use 5 for entry. I like have two sets of the algo for added confirmation

Settings are very asset specific though. Got to find what fits best to your trading style👌

As an avid day trader I’ll tell you I think the seconds timeframe is useless. If you’re trading 5m or 15m candles you don’t really care about what happens the next 10sec. Just my 2¢ of course. TradingView sells real time data if that’s something you’re looking for.

Our Discord market scanner alerts all use the following:

• Heikin Ashi Candles
• Default Lux Algo (V2.7 inputs & no toggle options enabled)
• Normal trading hours (no extended hours)
• Main exchanges / brokers such as NASDAQ / TVC / OANDA / COINBASE / BINANCE

TradingView alerts are set per your exact settings, timeframe, and enabled toggle options at the time you set the alert.
Adding the Equalizer band makes it require more confirmation to register a signal as "Strong".

After upgrading to Lux v2.8 I’m experiencing an issue with firing Alerts for “Any Sell” signals (Once per bar close). The “Any Sell” option does not fire for “Strong Sell”. It only fires for regular “Sell” signals. As a work-around, I had setup 2 alerts (1 for “Strong Sell” and 1 for “Sell”) but doing this is using up my available alert allowance on TradingView. Please help. Thanks.

For the equalizer band. I under stand if price is over look long and price is under look short. Question price is under the band, the price hit the green reversal zone, 9 candles after it hit the reversal zone with the price still clearly under it the band twist. @dim inlet strike & expiration are unrelated from Lux. A buy is a buy regardless if I take a same day, near the money strike or buy two weeks out 3 strikes out. Also relative to your timeframe.

I assume it can’t be done, but curious if we could have the ability to move Lux? If I put in the 2nd panel then the original price box still gets colored. I’d like the ability to run Lux with Heiken Ashi in one panel & run regular candles in another. I know this isn’t a Lux issue per se but hey if you ever want to toy with something maybe make a candles indicator?

For now I’ll leave the labels, and I can turn off bar coloring for the time being. It’s also something new so this may be terrible long term but it seems like a neat idea

I may be misunderstanding but you can go to indicators and search "Heikin ashi source"

Add that to the chart

Then apply lux to the HA source indicators

Hi, I am new for Lux Algo... just curious... Normally, Lux Algo is good for trading currency, future or stock trading (day trading or swing trading)? For example, If I want to do Day-trading for spy (UPRO, SSO ..etc.), what will be the recommended timeframe and Sensitivity ?

@fiery badge OK, but would I use 1 alert or 4 if I wanted sell + strong sell + buy + strong buy? Because the number of alerts at TV is limited. Even the premium account has only 400, while cheaper plans are only 10 & 30. Another words, is there a variable like {{signal_action}} that can be used in the alert message, so only 1 multipurpose alert is enough?

Okay @indigo cradle , @shy relic still having the same issue 😦 in any case, I may have a solution. If you search "heiken ashi candles" you'll come across an author named CryptoRox. This indicator is just heiken ashi candles as overlay to your current candles. However, you can move it to a new panel, creating 2 price action charts! Here's the kicker, when you add Lux to the layout, it defaults to the orignal built-in price-action panel. If I move Lux to a new panel, it still pulls the data from the original one. My assumption is that enabling Lux to pull data from an indicator as opposed to true price is impossible, which I get. But my question is could it be possible to edit the HA candles indicator to act as normal candles instead? What my end goal here is to have 2 price action panels, HA with Lux on one & standard candles on the other. And of course feel free to delete this if this violates the guidelines since this is not , technically, a Lux issue. I can paste the script here if needed

@twilit void I don't think so, plotting candles in pine involve using the plotcandle function, if you need a script that plot normal candles I can do it for sure.

In case of multiple templates default (4.25,1.95,20) and customized (5.0, 2.0, 20) - Can I trigger alerts based on different setting templates?
Also, in case of Strong signal alerts, will it trigger if the conditions are met on 2 min or 5 min timeframe though the alerts are set on 10 minutes time frame? Or will it wait for the full 10 minute candle to finish before triggering the alert? if that's the case, should I set alerts for smaller timeframe or pick "once per candle" option on 10 min?
