Alright, so your alert is set up such that it triggers when the S/R 1 cross over the equalizer band, which explains why it's not working
In the first condition drop down menu select the closing price and you should be good

Problems with Dashboard, it is not visible in some charts at all, in some it is partly behind the right corner of the screen. Changing settings will or will not help depending on the ticker. This needs some upgrades

Does that mean it will hold that position right after the posted hr till the given timeframe ?

Exactly. @twilit void I’ve been finally growing well after losing for many weeks without lux but i almost never buy or sell when a strong comes unless other signals as well allow me to enter. In fact it seems like when strong signals come in general the price is overinflated at that point and it goes back the other way first before rocket up.

@dull tusk I don't think it's possible for the message field to return wether or not a signal is buy, sell or strong buy/sell as a message, also such thing can't be implemented (yet).

@civic wave the alert condition seems to be any strong, so it's either a strong buy or strong sell, you can't see precisely which one it is from the notification or log unfortunately.

@sharp ridge if you can't see the dashboard make sure to zoom out, if nothing appear try scrolling a bit to the right, if you still can't see anything go to the indicator settings and select "next to candle" in dashboard position

Hi, so the LuxAlgo v2.8 is great for setting some alerts in trading view, but how do I convert it into a strategy in trading view so I can backtest and provide strategy alert?

My trading view alerts are way delayed? anything I can look at I had a 2h alert set to all strong on NFLX that alerted 495 and go to look at the stock right away it is at 500? also it was a buy signal not a strong as I had set up? @indigo cradle

@steady topaz the signal could be appearing just before a bar close, then if you set the alert to "once per bar close" you will receive it later. Also make sure you didn't set the alert to a time frame different to the one you are currently using

I set up around ten alerts on tickers that I am not watching on a 2h time frame for all strong. I then go back and watch the tickers I am day trading on a smaller time frame.
Should I not do closed bar or will they way I am doing it currently always create a delay
when I look at the alert I am matching alert and chart time frames and they are way late on the alert

So you're using any strong which would also alert purple turn green
or purple turn red
which may be why you see these extra things alerted

I do not have the big boy package on trading view so I thought that would be a solution
is their a string buy strong sell only alert so I do not have to do two alerts per ticker?

Nope because we haven't really built in a SL or TP system. There are people here who automate them
But we don't guide on doing it

I have a question I have the shared screen in temporality 2H, 4H and 1D down for the Lux signals something and up in 5m for the input this would be fine with the default configuration that you suggest or is there some other type of better adjustment Thanks

well it depends on what you need, more alerts, timeframes, etc come with the TV upgrades @strange meadow
it is quite needed if you analyze the market a lot i'd say

Gah... I am struggling to see profit with LuxAlgo. I know it is because of how I am using it. I get the push notifications from discord (taking the strong buy) indicators and buying. I’ve been hovering over my phone waiting for notifications, but the stock/forex immediately but then the stock drops more and I’m losing money. What am I missing? How “outdated” are the signals that are being push notified to me?

please don't follow discord notifications blindly
They are more a "take a look at this chart"
not at all to be followed
This isn't how they were designed to be used
The discord alerts are there to say "hey this asset is most likely to trend in this direction" see if you agree and look for an entry

Gecko can you tell me ideal settings? As you are away, bitcoin is extremely volatile, I don't understand how to set this up to get the proper buy sell notifications.
I also assume that the script and trade viewer is not mobile friendly?

and no such thing as ideal settings - if there were we'd publish them 🙂
They are very personal things for the trader
Default works quite nice for most
some prefer more noisy signals and confirm their trades in other ways

So I read that I can take up to 8 hours to get access to the premium script on tradingview. I followed the steps but the algo is not available for me to put onto my chart.

why is one OSC showing Down and the other Up for the same timeframe?

Because they aren't the same thing
One is the oscillator on length 50
And the other is a wma

Not really but it's quite simple:
- Top is the current signal
- Then it's the volatility from our volatility oscillator
- Then it's our lux oscillator on length 50, if it's red, it'll say bearish and if it's blue it'll be bullish
- the lux Control which is a measure of who has more market control
Then volume
And finally the directional matrix which is different wma/SMA/linreg lengths displayed with their direction

@fleet plinth not to jump on their balls but Gecko co-founded pine developer. Literally invented the programming language for tradingview scripts, not saying you shouldn't ask questions but they would know more about this program than i think anyone else on TV.

Newbie question I'm running TradingView with LuxAlgo and set it up by the instructions. Im watching it side by side with TOS with teh same timeframe and TradingView is way off? both candles and price off.

Yeah I noticed that too but it’s because unless you have pro the same candle will be there for that 1 minute, where as there’s 144 ticks in 1 min on TOS. So it could move more than one.
TOS 1m is wayyy different.

The signals are mostly not effective. I have noticed this since they did the update to v2.8 I have also seen frequently that the strong signals generate less than the sell and buy

I just turned HA candles on in Trading view (not Lux Algo) and 1/2 the signals disappeared. Why is this?

Because HA smooths the data
More smooth means less direction changes
meaning less signals
