@mystic gale as far as more in depth learning on what oscillators are, check out investopedia. As far as using Lux’s, the short explanation is don’t take a “sell” signal if the oscillator is blue, don’t take the “buy” signal if it’s red and look for divergences

TV shows it as pip value .1 , forex app as $.10 so those are equal

You linked your forex.com broker to TradingView I assume? The trade value would be $1,319.79 so TradingView isn’t wrong in that case.

I haven't had a good start using lux algo, I think I'm doing something wrong. I'm trying to trade XAUUSD but I'm constantly losing to it. I know that it's very volatile pair. I was thinking of doing swing trading on currency pairs. Is lux more suited to swing trading and is 4h the best timeframe for it?

It’s good all rounded swing/scalp @magic girder you just have to your own rhythm with it. Right I’m good at intraday trading but I usually do that on the 30 minute or 1 hr timeframe. If I’m looking to hold a pair for a day or two I’ll trade off the daily or 4h timeframe. Right now I’m practicing scalping every single day on my demo/ live and I’m getting good each and everyday with it. Just overall find what works for then you’ll see the money come inn

It's literally just a measure of market volatility

So an example use case is "if below X% don't trade"

Because you don't want to trade a flat asset

@indigo cradle interesting, I would though the alerts were saved into tradingview using some dark mechanism but I see it saves the alert with very specific configuration parameters based on the chart settings you are using... this is because I have two exactly identical charts displayed with the only difference being the Algo V2 settings and one popped the alert and the other one no of course, but the alert would not reference which one unless of course I put a text in the alert to tell me which chart settings is generating the alert for me to quickly find the chart and look further...

@indigo cradle - I found out that there's a glitch somewhere with TV and alerts. If you have alerts set up and change the settings of the algo you need to create a new alert. I trade 27 currency pairs and I was getting a bunch of alerts that where not on the charts. I remembered I changed the settings and when I tested the old settings all those alerts showed up on the chart. So every time I change the settings I re-do the alerts.

Our Discord market scanner alerts all use the following:

• Heikin Ashi Candles
• Default Lux Algo (V2.7 inputs & no toggle options enabled)
• Normal trading hours (no extended hours)
• Main exchanges / brokers such as NASDAQ / TVC / OANDA / COINBASE / BINANCE

TradingView alerts are set per your exact settings, timeframe, and enabled toggle options at the time you set the alert.
Adding the Equalizer band makes it require more confirmation to register a signal as "Strong".

So using HA source will use HA data in the calculations
