@late remnant what you’re likely seeing a signal formING but by candle close the algo has decided it is not a signal and takes it away. That’a why they say a signal isn’t confirmed until a candle closes.

@modest trout I am not sure what market are you trading, but overall, it has been slow today, its Friday. I was able to catch a couple of LuxAlgo signals in GBP/USD and EUR/GBP. I am just testing today as I also purchased it yesterday, so I am using minimum lots and still I am up 2.5%...not bad for a slow day and minimum lots.

Theres a problem now with the new update. the numbers you gave us to plug into the lux indicator for rex is not matching up with the signals we get from you. example there was a signal for a strong sell of USD/JPY at 1pmEST and it does not show. if we plugin the original settings it shows it correctly.

Currently as of 7/13/20 our Discord alerts are using the previous input settings in Lux Algo V2.4. These are being changed to our new V2.5 settings and may take 3-5 days due to the amount of alerts needing to be manually updated.

These are still good signals and you can view nearly all of them on your charts by using the settings of: (4.2, 1.9, and 1)

I dont need the code but just need the flexibility to access the alert condition variables we have now while creating alerts. I currently use something like this {{strategy.order.action}} in my alert as a free form which will be replaced with buy or sell based on the stretagy trigger

You do not need to click on the 1day button on the bottom left. When you do TV changes your formatting.. select whatever time frame you want to then just scroll and adjust your screen accordingly.

There will be highlighted session breaks so you’ll be able to stay on one session

Have you tried mobile? Trying to determine if it’s your Mac or what. On our zoom call I showed you what I do. My HP & VAIO haven’t had that issue before. My iPhone has occasionally but it’s rare and if I just kill the app and reload it it works

@lunar herald , remember what I said too. If you click on the “1 day” button on the bottom left it’ll default it to 1min. 5day, 5min etc... TradingView is attempting to fill your screen and that’s hard to do on one session, 1hr candles (think about how big the candles would be)

it should only be used on standard candles, if you don’t prefer HA

@paper arrow For me, they happen in real time, but I always wait to confirm for the candle to close because I have seen a buy come in and then disappear (5min candle). Really depends on your timing in charts on when to pounce

@paper arrow The alerts come from tradingview and if you have the free account from trading view you can only have 1

So one of my templates I use is a 15/1min combo. My Lux settings are default on it as well. I never enter mid trend though, you’ll see your strong buy signal came in on the 3:45-4:00 candle yesterday. Today it hit a new all time high.

So you didn’t enter on a “new” signal. You entered in the middle of the trend. The earlier you can get in on your signals the better chance you have of profiting.

#

Right now on the 15min it’s bouncing off the 50ema & SMI is about to hook upward as it’s oversold. Today could’ve easily just been a breather for it.

So for $SPOT today you could’ve entered at 9:39am at $296.95 and rode it to the 9:42-43 candle to a high of $299.24 for a $2.29 max run in your favor. And you’re in for a lot less time.

Hey all! I have a question about tradingview. I'm new to the platform as I only started using it to be able to use Lux. I'm wondering why for some stocks I can see updated candles until after market close, and others I can only see as late as 1 or 2 PM. Additionally in the morning I start seeing candles for some stocks as early as 6 and others not until 8 or 9, and it doesn't seem like there is any rhyme or reason to it. I'm speaking specifically about the 1 hour timeframe setting. Can anyone give me some insight?

Default is a fantastic place to start. Keep it there for a bit and tweak it slowly. Biggest problem I see is people get in, adjust it too much and can’t figure it out.
