@wild palm we cant do anything abt that, that's on tv. Adding the atr would not necessarily provide any benefits considering we already have the lux volatility in there. I dont see that happening.

One or two preferred the older versions but all you need to do is find new settings 🙂

V3 took me a couple days. I was just so used to the old parameters. Turns out I was over complicating the heck out of it. I switched my set up with V3. What got me is I use two timeframes on one layout & V3 did not line up the way my V2.9 layout did. Turns out it’s actually better. Took me a few days to a week to catch on. Edited my “go to” template and BOY it’s unstoppable. V3 is killer.

One thing I look for is a decent move (up or down) followed by spinning top white/black candles. This is denoted by the STB/STW. Doesn't matter too much which one but STB is bearish and STW is bullish. Mainly it indicates indecision and at a large move could signal reversal. What I found to work well is to wait for these to pop up and then majority of the time if you receive a LUX signal the move is more likely to happen towards the signal indicated

I can't go back too far because Tradingview doesn't have the data available to go back too far. But if you see these form (it did have STB/STW during the live session) near resistance then very good chance path of least resistance is down
@last wigeon I use 5,26 on 2m chart with HA candlesticks. But I also use 10,26 later in the day if I'm continuing to trade
5,26 gets me in a trade sooner but I take on the risk it isn't a trend whereas the 10,26 gets you in later but more likely it is a trend to contiue
I like to get in and out of my trades so 5,26 in the morning for me
I generally quit trading by 11:00

@wild palm we cant do anything abt that, that's on tv. Adding the atr would not necessarily provide any benefits considering we already have the lux volatility in there. I dont see that happening.

We used to include it in the trade setup feature
Which was just a basic ATR multiplier thing
But we removed it for a few reasons:
- We only want to have totally unique things within Lux, ATR is very generic and can be loaded for free
- It started to confuse newer traders who thought they could take signals blind using the provided SL and TP
Technically extremely simple to add - just it takes up some space where we'd rather add something unique

I'd like to see the ATR with the spread calculated right on the dashboard since I like what @true jasper has created, but I can see in his videos he squints at the screen like all of us and just to make things easier on the eyes, perhaps something to help us all with that situation would be helpful.

For the moment I have the ATR merged with the Lux Oscillator. It's okay, but Trading View doesn't let you position the numbers at the right. Maybe a dashboard on the Lux Oscillator that includes ATR would be useful...

@leaden axle I don't see that happening anytime soon, as Gecko said it is not an unique indicator, and you can already see its value from the screener, this doesn't mean it would be technically impossible to implement, we can always think about it but the dashboard was meant to show information easy to interpret, such as percentages, or qualitative information.

@leaden axle Money management is advanced, and when it come to stop losses and take profits things can get complicated, we plan on explaining that in a future tradingview idea, but research will show mixed conclusions about the best way to set stop losses. What is certain is that we dont want to force nor encourage user to use a specific way to set their stop losses or take profits, which is why we removed the trade setup in the first place.

I have been testing 2 methods 1 is common which is the ATR of the entry candle x2
The other method not so common is the volume of the entry candle x2
A good way to do this for me is my brackets are set with a high TP and a high S/L so once I’m in the trade I do the calculation and I move my TP and S/L on my DOM to those locations and most important once I do that I get up and just walk away
