I'd recommend using the oscillator to help you with entries. When i scalp the 1 or 5 minute I look for the oscillator to be breaking down through 400 turning red for a sell and breaking up through the 200 turning blue for a buy.

@uneven spear the new oscillator can be used to spot divergences (using a low pre-gain value), and can also determine the direction of the current trend (value above 0 = uptrend, under 0 downtrend), you can compare the signal given by the lux market control with the trend detected by the oscillator to see if both coincide, thats an idea, but not a certain way to have better profitability.

I'm using trading view to buy Calls / Puts. I execute between 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Using the trading view at the 5 min candle chart, the same as my brokerage platform. I analyze the trading view charts keeping an eye out for the signals, execute the actual orders in my brokerage platform.

@torpid nacelle one trick you can use it to plot the closing price withoverlay=false(go to pine editor and click on add to chart), then click on the three dots that appears when you hover on the Lux Algo indicator title, and select Move To -> Existing Pane Below

@coarse zinc the candle you have your crosshairs on is the 17:00-18:00 candle. If the alert triggered at 17:00, it would be the candle before it, the first purple candle of the series

i see it like once a month out of all of our users
i think if you refreshed everything it would appear
but the alert confirms it happened, as well as the candle coloring

@coarse zinc I believe mack meant to refresh the browser and re-add the indicator, but if your friends have the same issue then I doubt it will change anything

@coarse zinc Last time you reported this problem I studied the script and ran test to see if it was a tv related issue, and the results confirmed it could be indeed related to tv, I will check back with the settings/tf you used in XAUUSD but I think its not a problem on our side, really sorry you have to deal with that ๐ฆ

@coarse zinc here is a proof of our alerts and labels showing up at the same time, the orange circles are associated with the sell alert condition, the blue color is associated with the sell label condition, when either conditions are met their value is 1, you can see that both are always equal, and that no signal/or alert was triggered at the time you received your alert. Its definitely a tradingview problem, in fact tradingview acknowledged it, the error seems to be frequent during high loading times.

@coarse zinc Its likely they will ask you for proof plus to send them the script, they say it there https://www.tradingview.com/support/solutions/43000480296-issue-with-alert-created-using-alertcondition-function/, but lets hope it will be fixed soon

@coarse zinc yes, note however that you should not calculate profit factors (or any backtesting related statistic) using heikin-ashi, you can have unrealstic results

Oh. My fault. Lol. Yeah so my 5m chart is the same as it has always been (lux set to 5,2,20 + equalizer band, 15m MACD set to 12,50,9, lux oscillator set to 50). The 1m is just entry. So I use regular candles & have a MACD & a stochastic on there. Iโm also using the โnearest rank using arraysโ (free indicator by Lux) and really all that my 1m is doing is giving me a tight entry. Only enter calls when price is undervalued (oversold) and only enter puts when price is overvalued (overbought)
I have both the SMI & slow stochastic because I canโt quite decide which I like better yet

I find price breaking this is more accurate than moving averages.
On my 1m Iโm just looking for price to break from OB/OS area & a momentum shift in my favor. Just gives me a tighter entry.

Hey CarMillie, im also using a setup like that; MACD, Lux Oscillator, eq bands, Lux Algo for entry signals and two SMMA's. All at 15 and 30m time frames and gives quite good signals. Still fine tuning though.

I use the 5 min candles to determine where I will enter in a strong signal but then I actually look at my 1 min candles for a pull back within that 5 min candle strong single . You donโt see the pull back on the 5 min candles as well as you do in the 1 mins

@gentle comet good question, there was an interesting paper about that, will try to find it back but I think he concluded that it was the case. I am no expert, but in general it is easier to manipulate price when liquidity is low, stop hunting is also a relatively common practice in the crypto market.
